Abstract
【解決手段】一例で、二次電池は、電極組立体と、上端開口部を通じて電極組立体を収容するケースと、ケースに結合されるキャップ組立体と、電極組立体とケースとの間に介されて、ケースの圧縮時に破断されて電極組立体の短絡を誘導する短絡誘導プレートと、を含んで構成されることを特徴とする。

Claims (22)
- 電極組立体と、
上端開口部を通じて前記電極組立体を収容するケースと、
前記ケースに結合されるキャップ組立体と、
前記電極組立体と前記ケースとの間に介されて、前記ケースの圧縮時に破断されて前記電極組立体の短絡を誘導する短絡誘導プレートと、を含むことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記短絡誘導プレートは、前記電極組立体の下部と前記ケースの内部底面に接触されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記短絡誘導プレートは、絶縁性物質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の下部二次電池。
- 前記短絡誘導プレートは、少なくとも13kNの力が前記二次電池に加えられる時に破断されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記短絡誘導プレートは、セラミックス、硝子及びアクリルのうちで選択されたいずれか一つの物質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記短絡誘導プレートは、0.2mmないし2mmの厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、第1電極集電体に第1電極活物質が形成された第1電極板と、第2電極集電体に第2電極活物質が形成された第2電極板と、前記第1電極板と前記第2電極板との間に介されるセパレーターを含み、
前記短絡誘導プレートは、破断時に前記第1電極集電体と前記第2電極集電体との間の短絡を発生させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記短絡誘導プレートは、表面に形成されたガイド溝を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガイド溝は、前記短絡誘導プレートの長さ方向に垂直である方向に形成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガイド溝の深さは、前記短絡誘導プレートの厚さに対して1/10ないし2/3であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガイド溝は、前記短絡誘導プレートの上部表面に形成される第1ガイド溝と、前記短絡誘導プレートの下部表面に形成される第2ガイド溝を含み、
前記第1ガイド溝と前記第2ガイド溝は、前記短絡誘導プレートの長さ方向に沿って互いに交互に位置するように形成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の二次電池。 - 前記電極組立体と前記キャップ組立体との間に介される絶縁ケースを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁ケースは、絶縁性物質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁ケースは、1.5mmないし2.5mmの厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁ケースは、前記ケースの圧縮時に破断されて前記電極組立体の短絡を誘導する第1領域と、該第1領域の周辺部に連結される第2領域を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1領域と前記第2領域は、互いに異なる絶縁性物質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1領域は、少なくとも13kNの力が前記二次電池に加えられる時に破断されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1領域は、セラミックス、硝子及びアクリルのうちで選択されたいずれか一つの絶縁性物質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、第1電極集電体に第1電極活物質が形成された第1電極板と、第2電極集電体に第2電極活物質が形成された第2電極板と、前記第1電極板と前記第2電極板との間に介されるセパレーターと、を含み、
前記第1領域は、破断時に前記第1電極集電体と前記第2電極集電体との間の短絡を発生させることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の二次電池。 - 前記絶縁ケースは、前記第1領域の下部表面に形成されたガイド溝を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガイド溝は、前記第1領域の長さ方向に垂直である方向に形成されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガイド溝の深さは、前記第1領域の厚さに対して1/10ないし2/3であることを特徴とする二次電池。
