Claims (10)
- 動きの少なくとも2座標を制御するタッチ式ポインティング・デバイス(1)であり、前記センサ面(2)と物理的に接触状態にある指(11)の位置及び/又は動きによって、電気信号及び/又は光信号を生成するタッチセンサ面(2)を設けた前記ポインティング・デバイス(1)であって、前記センサ面(2)には、交互に略直線に沿った第1方向に延びる複数の溝部(5)及び隆起部(6)で形成する凹凸領域を備え、隣接する隆起部(6)を、互いから略平行に相互距離aで配置することを特徴とするデバイス。
- 前記凹凸領域が波状断面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記凹凸領域が鋸状断面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記隣接する隆起部(6)間の距離aを、前記タッチ式ポインティング・デバイス(1)の使用中に、前記指(11)を少なくとも3つの隣接する隆起部(6)、望ましくは5つ以上の隣接する隆起部(6)と同時に接触するように選択することを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のデバイス。
- 前記隣接する隆起部(6)間の距離aを、0.1mm〜3mm、或いは0.2mm〜2mm、望ましくは約1mmとすることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れかに記載のデバイス。
- 前記凹凸の振幅hを、0.05mm〜2mm、或いは0.1mm〜1mm、望ましくは約0.5mmとすることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れかに記載のデバイス。
- 前記溝部(5)の幅bを、基本的に隆起部(6)の幅cと等しくすることを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れかに記載のデバイス。
- コンピュータ・ディスプレイ(7)上のカーソル(8)を、第1カーソル位置(S)から第2カーソル位置(E)まで、タッチ式ポインティング・デバイス(1)のタッチセンサ面(2)上での指(11)の動きに応じて動かす方法であり、前記センサ面(2)には、複数の交互の溝部(5)と隆起部(6)とで形成する凹凸領域を設け、該溝部と隆起部を第1方向に、ほぼ真っ直ぐで互いに平行な線に沿って延ばし、隣接する隆起部(6)を互いからの距離aで配置する方法であって、前記方法には、a)前記指(11)を、前記センサ面(2)上の第1点(A)で前記センサ面に接触させるステップ、b)前記カーソル(8)を前記第2カーソル位置の第1座標と、前記指(11)を凹凸領域を横断させてセンサ面(2)上の中間点(P1、P2)へ、第1指圧を加えながら動かして、位置合わせするステップ、c)前記カーソル(8)を前記第2カーソル位置へと移動させるが、これを前記指(11)を前記センサ面(2)の前記中間点(P1、P2)から第2点(B)へ、前記第1指圧より高い第2指圧を加えながら、前記第1方向に前記隆起部(6)に沿ってガイドする動きにおいて行うステップを備えることを特徴とする方法。
- ステップb)において、前記指(11)を、基本的に前記第1方向と垂直に動かすことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- カーソル線(9)を、前記コンピュータ・ディスプレイ(7)に、キーを押す或いは前記指(11)を前記センサ面(2)と接触させるときに提供し、前記カーソル線(9)には、前記カーソル(8)の前記第1座標と等しい一定の第1座標を有すること、を特徴とする請求項8又は9に記載の方法。
