Abstract
Description
(1)外部加熱ローラーまたは上記のツーリング部材の温度を通常の印刷作業の場合の温度よりも高い温度(かかる外部ヒーターローラーが印刷に使用される場合には通常の作業温度よりも典型的には30〜50℃高い温度)に上昇させる;
(2)過温度センサーが実際の使用時に350℃を超える温度に対して有効であるように、過温度センサーとツーリング部材またはヒーターローラーとの間の距離を予め決めた値に調節する;
(3)もし冷却空気を現場で使用することができれば、下層の過熱を防止するため、および、融着部材表面温度の通常の印刷モード設定値に早く復帰するために、ツーリング部材またはヒーターローラーの間の加圧ニップから離れた位置に冷却空気を出す;
(4)融着部材を少なくとも1rpmの速度で回転させ、圧力、温度および回転速度のプログラム制御ファンクションに従って、融着部材を修復するのに十分な時間、典型的には1〜3分間、ツーリング部材またはヒーターローラーを融着部材表面と係合させる。
Claims (2)
- 融着部材を修復するための装置であって、
レシーバー媒体上のトナー画像と接触し、レシーバー媒体にトナー画像を融着する融着部材であって、フッ素系熱可塑性樹脂を含む外側接触表面を含む融着部材;
融着部材の外側接触表面とツーリング部材の間に圧力ニップが形成されるように、融着部材の外側接触表面に隣接して配置することが可能なツーリング部材;および
融着部材およびツーリング部材に熱を移すための熱源;
を含み、融着部材の表面はツーリング部材と係合可能であり、融着部材の前記外側表面を新しくするのに十分な時間、少なくとも5psiの圧力および前記外側接触表面の前記熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度よりも少なくとも10℃低い温度で、少なくとも1rpmの速度で回転することを特徴とする、融着部材を修復するための装置。 - 前記フッ素系熱可塑性樹脂が、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリペルフルオロアルコキシ−テトラフルオロエチレン、ポリフッ素化エチレン−プロピレン、ポリフッ化ビニル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリ(エチレン−クロロ−トリフルオロエチレン)、ポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれるフルオロポリマー樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
