Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の吸収性物品は、トップシート、バックシート、及び、トップシートとバックシートとの間に配置された吸収コアを備える。前記吸収性コアは、超吸水性ポリマー及び表面添加物を含有する超吸水性ポリマー組成物を含む。前記超吸水性ポリマーは、(a)前記超吸水性ポリマーの総量に基づいて約55重量%ないし約99.9重量%の重合可能な不飽和の酸性基含有モノマーと、(b)前記重合可能な不飽和の酸性基含有モノマーの総量に基づいて、約0.001重量%ないし約5重量%の内部架橋剤とを含む。前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物は、遠心保持容量試験で測定された少なくとも約30g/gの遠心保持容量と、自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率試験で測定された少なくとも約10ダルシーの自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率とを有する。

1)予め重さが計測されたアルミニウム製の計量皿に載置した4.5〜5.5gの超吸水性ポリマー組成物(superabsorbent polymer composition:SAP)の重さを正確に測定する。
2)SAP及び計量皿を、150℃に予加熱した熱標準的な実験室オーブンに約30分間入れる。
3)取り出し、計量皿及び内容物を再び測定する。
4)次の式を用いて、水分の割合を計算する。

ここで、K=透過率(cm2)、Q=流量(g/秒)、H=サンプルの高さ(cm)、μ=液体粘性(ポアズ)(この試験に用いた試験溶液では、約1センチポアズ)、A=液体流に対する断面積(cm2)(この試験に用いたサンプル容器では、約28.27cm2)、ρ=液体密度(g/cm3)(この試験に用いた試験溶液では、ほぼ1g/cm3)、P=静水圧(ダイン/cm2)(通常、約7,797ダイン/cm2)である。静水圧は、P=ρ*g*hから計算される。ここで、ρ=液体密度(g/cm3)、g=重力加速度(通常981cm/秒2)、h=流体高さ(例えば、本明細書に説明するゲルベッド透過率試験では7.95cm)である。
・平坦な底部を有するプラスチックトレイ。このトレイは、その上にガラスフリットをその壁部に触れることなく載置することが可能な十分な広さを有する。この試験方法には、22.9cm×22.9cm(9インチ×9インチ)の底面積と、1.3〜2.5cm(0.5〜1インチ)の深さを有するプラスチックトレイが一般的に使用される。
・「C」(20〜25ミクロン)の空隙率を有する直径12.5cmの焼結ガラスフリット。このフリットは、食塩水中での平衡化により事前に作成される。フリットは、少なくとも2部の新鮮な食塩水で洗浄するのに加えて、AUL測定前に食塩水中に少なくとも12時間浸漬させるべきである。
・ワットマン(Whatman)社製のグレード1、直径12.5cmの円形のフィルタ紙。
・食塩水の供給(0.9重量%塩化ナトリウム蒸留水溶液)。

吸収性構造体の飽和容量は、次の式により求められる。
飽和容量=(湿潤重量−乾燥重量)/乾燥重量
飽和容量値は、液体g/吸収性構造体gの単位を有する。飽和容量は、各サンプルについて少なくとも3つのサンプルを試験し、結果を平均すべきである。
また、多価金属塩などのイオン性架橋剤も使用し得る。また、上記した架橋剤の混合物も使用し得る。内部架橋剤の含有量は、重合可能な不飽和の酸性基含有モノマーの総量に基づいて、約0.01重量%ないし5重量%、例えば約0.2重量%ないし3重量%などである。

(iii)前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物の総量に基づいて0重量%ないし約5重量%のポリマーコーティングとを含む
ことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 吸収性コアを備える吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性コアが、超吸水性ポリマー粒子を含有する超吸水性ポリマー組成物を含み、
前記超吸水性ポリマー粒子が、前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物の総量に基づいて約0.01重量%ないし約2重量%の、不水溶性金属リン酸塩または不水溶性金属ホウ酸塩から選択される無機金属化合物で表面処理されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 吸収性コアを備える吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性コアが超吸水性ポリマー組成物を含み、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、
(a)超吸水性ポリマー粒子を準備するステップと、
(b)第1の無機金属塩を含有する第1の溶液を調製するステップと、
(c)第2の無機金属塩を含有する第2の溶液を調製するステップと、
(d)前記第1及び第2の溶液を前記超吸水性ポリマー粒子に塗布し、不水溶性無機金属塩の沈殿物を前記超吸水性ポリマー粒子の表面またはその近傍に直接的に形成するステップとを含む方法により調製されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記ポリマーコーティングが、前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物の総量に基づいて約0.01重量%ないし約0.5重量%の熱可塑性ポリマーであることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記ポリマーコーティングが、ポリオレフィン、ポリエチレン、ポリエステル、ポリウレタン、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマー、スチレンコポリマー、エチレンアルキルメタクリル酸塩コポリマー、ポリプロピレン、マレイン化ポリプロピレン、エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマー、ポリアミド、ポリエステル、または、それらの混合物及びコポリマーから選択されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記ポリマーコーティングが、カチオン性ポリマーであることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記ポリマーコーティングが、ポリビニルアミンであることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記ポリマーコーティングが、マレイン化ポリプロピレンとエチレンアクリル酸コポリマーとの混合物であることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記重合可能な不飽和の酸性基含有モノマーの少なくとも約50重量%の酸性基が、カルボキシル基を含み、
前記酸性基が少なくとも50モル%まで中和されており、
前記内部架橋剤が、前記重合可能な不飽和の酸性基含有モノマーの総量に基づいて約0.2重量%ないし約3重量%含まれることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項3に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記第1の無機金属塩には、アルミニウム、チタン、カルシウムまたは鉄から選択されるカチオンが含まれ、
前記第2の無機金属塩には、リン酸塩、ホウ酸塩またはクロム酸塩から選択されるアニオンが含まれることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項3に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記第1の無機金属塩が、硫酸アルミニウムリン酸三ナトリウム14水和物であり、
前記第2の無機金属塩が、リン酸三ナトリウムであることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項11のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、熱処理されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項12に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、約150℃ないし約250℃の温度で熱処理されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項13のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記不水溶性の無機金属化合物が、金属リン酸塩、チタンホウ酸塩、アルミニウムホウ酸塩、鉄ホウ酸塩、マグネシウムホウ酸塩、マンガンホウ酸塩、及びカルシウムホウ酸塩から選択されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項14に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記金属リン酸塩が、アルミニウムリン酸塩であることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項15のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記無機金属化合物の粒子が、約2μm未満の質量中央粒径を有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項16のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記不水溶性の無機金属化合物が、前記超吸水性ポリマー粒子の表面に懸濁液形態で塗布されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項17のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記不水溶性の無機金属化合物が、前記超吸水性ポリマー粒子の表面に乾燥形態で塗布されたことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項18のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物の少なくとも約40重量%が、約300μmないし約600μmの粒径を有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項19に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物の少なくとも約50重量%が、約300μmないし約600μmの粒径を有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項20のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、
遠心保持容量試験で測定された少なくとも約30g/gの遠心保持容量と、
自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率試験で測定された少なくとも約10ダルシーの自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率とを有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項21に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、
遠心保持容量試験で測定された少なくとも約32g/gの遠心保持容量と、
自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率試験で測定された少なくとも約20ダルシーの自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率とを有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項21に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物が、
遠心保持容量試験で測定された少なくとも約32g/gないし約40g/gの遠心保持容量と、
自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率試験で測定された少なくとも約40ダルシーの自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過率とを有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項23のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
トップシート及びバックシートをさらに備え、
前記吸収性コアが、前記トップシートと前記バックシートとの間に配置されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項24に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記トップシート、前記バックシート及び前記吸収性コアのうちの少なくとも1つが伸縮可能であることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項25のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性コアが、少なくとも約30重量%の前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物を含むことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項26に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性コアが、少なくとも約60重量%ないし約95重量%の前記超吸水性ポリマー組成物を含むことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項27のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品であって、

該吸収性物品が、パーソナルケア用吸収性物品、保健用/医療用吸収性物品、家庭用/産業用吸収性物品、またはスポーツ用/建設業用吸収性物品から選択されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
