Claims (17)
- 中空円筒として設計された触媒基材(101)と、入口側ガスバッフル(102)および出口側ガスバッフル(103)と、外壁(104)とを備え、両ガスバッフル(102,103)が前記触媒基材(101)を囲むと共に、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)と前記触媒基材(101)とが第1キャビティ(105)を形成しており、この第1キャビティ内へ排気ガス流(106)が送り込まれ、前記触媒基材(101)を通過して第2キャビティ(107)に進入することができ、この第2キャビティは外壁(104)、両ガスバッフル(102,103)、および触媒基材(101)によって取り囲まれており、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)はガス排出口(108)を有し、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)の陥凹部(109)が縁曲げされ、その結果として前記触媒基材(101)が固定されている、自動車の排気ガスの触媒処理のための装置。
- 前記触媒基材(101)は前記入口側ガスバッフル(102)を屈曲させることによって縁取られ、その結果として、前記入口側ガスバッフル(102)内にガイド(111)ができており、このガイド(111)内へ前記触媒基材(101)が強制固定式に取り付けられている、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記触媒基材(101)は前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)を屈曲させることによって縁取られ、その結果として、中空円筒として設計された前記触媒基材(101)の内側が、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)の屈曲部(112)に対して強制固定式に当接している、請求項1または2記載の装置。
- 前記触媒基材(101)は、ウォッシュコートの設けられた金属製またはセラミック材料製のハニカム体に相当する、前記請求項のうちいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記触媒基材(101)は巻回触媒基材である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記巻回触媒基材には2つ以上のコーティング材料が設けられ、使用される前記コーティング材料同士が互いに異なる孔隙率を有している、請求項5記載の装置。
- 各ガスバッフルと前記触媒基材との間に、それぞれ支持シール(110)が配置されている、前記請求項のうちいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記支持シール(110)はワイヤークロスのリングを備えている、請求項7記載の装置。
- 前記支持シール(110)は弾性材料から成る、請求項7記載の装置。
- 前記入口側ガスバッフル(102)と前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)との間に前記触媒基材(101)を強制固定式に配置し、両ガスバッフル(102,103)を前記外壁(104)に連結し、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)内に前記ガス排出口(108)を通すことによる、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の装置の製造のための方法であって、前記触媒基材(101)を固定するために、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)の陥凹部(109)が縁曲げされる、方法。
- 両ガスバッフル(102,103)を前記外壁(104)に溶接することによって、両ガスバッフル(102,103)と外壁(104)とが互いに連結される、請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)内に半円形の切込みを介して各ガス入口開口(108)を付けることによって、前記出口側ガスバッフル(103)内に複数のガス入口開口(108)が通され、それから、結果として生じる半円が前記触媒基材(101)を固定するために縁曲げされる、請求項10または11記載の方法。
- 打抜き機、フライス盤、または鋸によって前記切込みが付けられる、請求項12記載の方法。
- 両ガスバッフル同士の間に前記触媒基材(101)が配置される前に、前記触媒基材(101)と両ガスバッフル(102,103)との間に支持シール(110)が配置される、前記請求項10から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 三元触媒、ディーゼル酸化触媒、NOX吸蔵触媒のための、または選択触媒還元のための請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の装置の使用。
- 排気ガス流(106)が、前記入口側ガスバッフル(102)を通じて前記装置の第1キャビティ(105)内へと導かれ、そこから当該排気ガス流が前記触媒基材(101)を通過して、前記装置の第2キャビティ(107)内へと導かれ、前記ガス排出口(108)を通じて前記装置から取り出される、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の装置を用いた自動車の排気ガスの処理のための方法。
- 当該方法が逆の流れ方向において実行される、請求項16記載の方法。
