Abstract
Description
本願は2006年8月8日に出願された「A Method of Making Cyanopyridines」と題する米国仮特許出願第60/821,779号の出願日の利益を主張し、前記仮特許出願の開示は、参照により明示的に本明細書に組み込まれる。
アンモ酸化とは、有機物質の混合物が、アンモニア、酸素および触媒の存在下に、高温で、シアノ含有生成物に転化される化学プロセスと定義される。
シアノピリジンを含む気体反応生成物をピコリンでクエンチすることにより、シアノピリジンの加水分解副生成物への損失を著しく減少させることができ、従ってシアノピリジンの単離収率を著しく増加させることができる。
シアノピリジン類の生産は、主として非水性のクエンチ流体としてピコリンを用いる気体反応生成物のクエンチを伴う。ピコリンクエンチ操作は以下のような構造を取り得る。気体反応生成物はクエンチングシステム内でクエンチ流体と接触させることができる。クエンチングシステムは、ノズルを使ったクエンチング流体の噴霧による気体反応生成物との接触、堰、または流下膜式熱交換器、または噴霧システムを有する別個のチャンバーもしくは塔を含み得る。チャンバーまたは塔は、操作効率を増加させるために、表面積が増大するように充填することができる。
空気およびアンモニアの存在下に触媒上で2−ピコリン原料から調製される2−シアノピリジンの調製で生じる気体反応生成物のクエンチをシミュレートするために、バッチ式加水分解を設計した。100mLガラスチューブリアクターに、0.5グラムの2−シアノピリジン、磁気撹拌子、および20mLのアンモニア溶液を、表1に従って加えた。チューブに蓋をして、表1に示す温度で、表1に示す接触時間にわたって加熱した。各間隔後に、チューブリアクターを移動させて水浴で冷却し、チューブの蓋を開けた。溶液2μLのガスクロマトグラフィー試料を採取した後、チューブに再び蓋をして、新たな時間間隔にわたって加熱した。
実施例1のバッチ式加水分解シミュレーションを2−シアノピリジンの2−ピコリン溶液、水およびアンモニアを表2に示す各重量パーセントで含む、主として非水性のクエンチ流体を使って繰り返した。100mLガラスチューブリアクターに、6.25%2−シアノピリジンの2−ピコリン溶液を加えた。これらの条件下で、主として非水性のクエンチ流体を、下記表2に示す温度で、下記表2に示す接触時間にわたって撹拌した。表示の間隔で試料を加水分解副生成物ピリジンカルボキサミドについて分析した。
Claims (7)
- シアノピリジンを含む気体反応生成物をクエンチする方法であって、ピコリンを含有する主として非水性のクエンチ流体を供給するステップを含む、方法。
- シアノピリジンが2−シアノピリジン、3−シアノピリジン、4−シアノピリジン、またはその混合物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- シアノピリジンが2−シアノピリジンである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ピコリンを含有するクエンチ流体が本質的に非水性である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ピコリンが2−ピコリンである、請求項4に記載の方法。
- クエンチ流体が水を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- クエンチ流体がシアノピリジンの加水分解を抑制する、請求項1に記載の方法。
