Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、記号を表示する導電性セグメントと、さらに、他のセグメントによってカバーされない表示領域の少なくとも一部分を覆う少なくとも1つの対照セグメントとを有する液晶ディスプレイに関する。この液晶ディスプレイによって、簡単に欠陥のあるセグメントを視覚的にチェックすることができる。この目的のために、チェックが実行され、そこでは、全てのセグメントおよび存在する全ての対照セグメントが、ディスプレイが完全に機能している時に一様な表示となるように駆動され、そうでないときには欠陥のあるセグメントが、残りの表示画面に対して反転表示となる。

Claims (3)
- 欠陥のあるセグメントを視覚的に検知することができる記号表示システムであって、
向かい合う第1および第2の基板を有し、液晶材料が第1および第2の基板の間のスペースに位置し、
前記第1の基板が透明で、かつ表示エリア内に記号を表示するための実質的に透明な導電性のセグメント(A−G)を有し、および前記記号を表示するために前記セグメント(A−G)によって覆われていない表示エリアを少なくとも部分的に占める少なくとも1個の導電性の対照セグメント(10)を有し、および
前記第2の基板は、少なくとも前記セグメント(A−G)に向かい合う領域および前記第1の基板の少なくとも1個の対照セグメント(10)が導電性である液晶ディスプレイと、
前記セグメントおよび前記少なくとも1個の対照セグメント(10)を個別に駆動するための駆動装置であって、欠陥の可能性のあるセグメントが前記少なくとも1個の対照セグメントに対する反対の表示となることによって、欠陥の可能性のあるセグメントを認識できるように、前記セグメントおよび前記少なくとも1個の対照セグメント(10)をある時間間隔のあいだ共通して駆動が可能であることを特徴とする駆動装置と

前記第1の基板のセグメント(A−G)が前記第1の基板の少なくとも1個の対照セグメント(10)によって取り囲まれ、前記第2の基板が、形状および寸法が前記第1の基板の前記少なくとも1個の対照セグメントに実質的に一致する少なくとも1個の対照セグメントを有する
ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記セグメントおよび前記少なくとも1個の対照セグメントに、別個に電圧を印加できる請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の基板およびその導電性領域が透明である請求項1記載のシステム。
