Claims (9)
- 流体の流路となる複数のセルを形成する多孔質の隔壁と、それら隔壁を囲む外壁と、を有し、外形は柱状を呈し、中心軸方向に垂直な断面の形状が、楕円形、又は長円形であり、
前記中心軸方向に垂直な断面において、その断面の形状の短軸と、前記隔壁の方向と、のなす角度が、0.5°以上、35°以下、であるセラミックハニカム構造体。 - 前記角度が、5°以上、35°以下、である請求項1記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記複数のセルのうち、所定のセルにおける一方の端面側の開口を目封止するとともに残余のセルにおける他方の端面側の開口を目封止する目封止部を備え、その目封止部は、前記所定のセルと前記残余のセルとが交互に配置されるように設けられている請求項1又は2に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記隔壁の平均厚さが、0.8mm以下である請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記隔壁の平均気孔率が、10%以上である請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記隔壁を形成する材料が、コージェライト、リチウムアルミニウムシリケート、チタン酸アルミニウム、アルミナ、ジルコニア、炭化珪素、窒化珪素、活性炭、シリカゲル、ゼオライトからなる材料群から選ばれる何れか1以上を主成分とする請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記所定のセルの長手方向に対し垂直な断面の形状と、前記残余のセルの長手方向に対し垂直な断面の形状とが、異なる請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記所定のセルの長手方向に対し垂直な断面の面積の合計をA(mm2)、前記残余のセルの長手方向に対し垂直な断面の面積の合計をB(mm2)とした場合に、A<B、の関係である請求項1〜7の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
- 前記セルの長手方向に対し垂直な断面の形状が、全て四角形である請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体。
