Abstract

Description
この出願は、1999年3月31日に出願された、同時係属出願の米国特許出願番号第09/283,122号の一部継続出願である。
ことも望ましいであろう。
この実施例は、苛性アルカリの添加の影響を証明している。これはまた、本発明の安定化臭素溶液が、商業用途の現場で調製され、かつ使用されるならば、苛性アルカリの添加が必要とされないことも例証している。
実験室での実験が次のようにして室温(70°F)で実施された:
1.33.3重量%の臭化ナトリウムおよび17.4%のナトリウムスルファメートを水中に含有させるために、臭化ナトリウムとナトリウムスルファメートとの混合物(溶液A)を調製する;
2.225ppm(CaCO3として)硬度および125ppm(CaCO3として)の総アルカリ度を含む合成冷却水1,000mlに、10.9重量%(有効塩素として)の塩素ブリーチ0.76mlを添加する(溶液B);および
3.0.241mlの溶液Aを溶液Bに添加して、最終溶液を形成する。
Claims (22)
- 安定化臭素溶液の製造方法であって、
a.臭素源と安定剤とを組み合わせて混合物を形成する工程;および
b.この混合物に酸化剤を添加する工程
を含む方法。 - 前記臭素源が、臭化水素酸、アルカリ土金属(alkali earth metal)臭化物、およびアルカリ土類金属(alkaline earth metal)臭化物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記安定剤が、化学式R−NH−R1(式中、RおよびR1が、R2CO、R2SO2、R2CF2、R2CHF、H、OH、およびPO(OH)2からなる群から選択され、R2がアルキル基または芳香族基である)を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記安定剤が、サッカリン、ウレア、チオウレア、クレアチニン、シアヌル酸、アルキルヒダントイン、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、有機スルホンアミド、ビウレット、スルファミン酸、およびそのアルカリまたはアルカリ土類金属塩、有機スルファメート、およびメラミンからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記安定剤が、スルファミン酸およびそのアルカリまたはアルカリ土類金属塩からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化剤が、塩素ガス、次亜塩素酸、次亜塩素酸塩、亜塩素酸塩、塩素酸塩、元素臭素、塩化臭素、過酸化水素、過硫酸塩、過マンガン酸塩、および過酢酸からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化剤が、塩素ガス、次亜塩素酸、および次亜塩素酸塩からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記臭素源と前記安定剤との間のモル比が、約0.1〜10の範囲内にある、請求項1
に記載の方法。 - 前記臭素源と前記酸化剤との間のモル比が、約0.2〜5の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法によって生成された安定化臭素溶液。
- 汚れた衣類の洗濯方法において、前記汚れた衣類が、洗剤と漂白剤とを含む水性媒質中で洗濯され、この改良が、請求項10に記載の安定化臭素溶液を漂白剤として用いることを含む方法。
- セルロース物質の製造方法において、セルロース繊維が酸化剤で漂白され、この改良が、請求項10に記載の安定化臭素溶液を酸化剤として用いることを含む方法。
- レクレーション水系における生物付着の制御方法において、酸化および生物致死剤が、生物付着を制御するために添加され、この改良が、請求項10に記載の安定化臭素溶液を酸化および生物致死剤として用いることを含む方法。
- 硬質表面上の生物付着を制御するための方法において、酸化および生物致死剤が、表面への生物付着を制御するために表面に使用され、この改良が、請求項10に記載の安定化臭素溶液を酸化および生物致死剤として用いることを含む方法。
- 生成された油田水と接触している装置の表面に発生する生物付着の制御方法において、この改良が、請求項10に記載の効果的生物付着制御量の安定化臭素溶液を、生成された油田水に添加することを含む方法。
- 水性系における生物付着の制御方法であって、請求項10に記載の効果的生物付着制御量の安定化臭素溶液を水性系に添加することを含む方法。
- パルプおよび紙製造プロセス水およびプロセス薬品中の生物付着の制御方法であって、請求項10に記載の効果的生物付着制御量の安定化臭素溶液を、前記プロセス水に添加することを含む方法。
- 水性ストリーム中の微生物成長の制御方法であって、
食品の輸送または加工処理のため、および前記水性ストリームと接触する食品表面および装置表面に用いられる方法であって、前記水性ストリームに、請求項10に記載の効果的微生物成長制御量の安定化臭素溶液を添加することを含む方法。 - 工業水系と接触している装置の表面への生物付着の防止方法であって、効果的生物付着制御量の安定化臭素溶液を前記水系に添加することを含み、前記溶液が、
a.臭素源と安定剤とを組み合わせて混合物を形成する工程;および
b.この混合物に酸化剤を添加する工程
によって調製されている方法。 - 前記工業水系が、冷却水系、甘水系、ガススクラバー系、空気清浄器系、蒸発凝縮器、パスツール殺菌装置、生産物(produce)消毒剤ストリーム、防火水系、および熱交換器管からなる群から選択される、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記安定化臭素溶液が、有効塩素として約0.1〜約2,000ppmの量で前記工業水系に添加される、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記安定化臭素溶液が、有効塩素として約0.5〜約500ppmの量で前記工業水系に添加される、請求項19に記載の方法。
