Abstract
【解決手段】吐出パルスを含んでいる吐出駆動信号をドライバIC52からアクチュエータユニット21へと供給することでインクジェットヘッドからインクが吐出される。所定期間に供給される吐出パルス数をN1とし不吐出パルス数をN2とするとき、N1×α+N2=所定値となるように、吐出パルスを含んでいる不吐出駆動信号をドライバIC52からアクチュエータユニット21へと供給させる。αは0より大きく1より小さい実数の係数である。

Description
給紙ユニット101bは、給紙トレイ11と、給紙ローラ12とを有している。給紙トレイ11は、上方に向かって開口した箱形状を有しており、複数枚の用紙Pが積層された状態で収納される。給紙ローラ12は、給紙トレイ11の最も上方にある用紙Pを送り出す。
送り出された用紙Pは、ガイド13a、13bによりガイドされ且つ送りローラ対14によって挟持されつつ搬送機構16へと送られる。

以上は、本発明の好適な実施形態についての説明であるが、本発明は上述の実施形態に限られるものではなく、課題を解決するための手段に記載された範囲の限りにおいて様々な変更が可能なものである。

Claims (10)
- 液体が吐出される吐出口と、前記吐出口から液体を吐出するアクチュエータと、1又は複数の吐出パルス信号を含み前記吐出口から液体が吐出するように前記アクチュエータを駆動する吐出駆動信号、及び、1又は複数の不吐出パルス信号を含み前記吐出口から液体が吐出しないように前記アクチュエータを駆動する不吐出駆動信号を選択的に前記アクチュエータに供給する駆動回路とを有する記録ヘッドと、
前記記録ヘッドに対向する位置に記録媒体を搬送する搬送手段と、
画像データに基づいて、前記搬送手段によって搬送された記録媒体に向かって前記アクチュエータに液体を吐出させる画像記録制御手段と、
前記駆動回路から前記アクチュエータに供給される前記不吐出駆動信号の数を前記画像データに基づいて算出する信号数算出手段と、
前記信号数算出手段によって算出された数の前記不吐出駆動信号を前記駆動回路に供給させる不吐出駆動制御手段とを備えており、
前記信号数算出手段が、
所定の期間内に前記アクチュエータに供給される吐出パルス信号の合計数が小さく補正された補正パルス数と、前記所定の期間内に前記アクチュエータに供給される不吐出パルス信号の合計数との和が所定数となるように、前記不吐出駆動信号の数を算出することを特徴とする記録装置。 - 前記所定の期間内に前記吐出口から吐出される液体の合計量に応じて、前記所定の期間内に前記アクチュエータに供給される吐出パルス信号の合計数に対する前記補正パルス数の割合が変化するように、前記不吐出駆動信号の数を算出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録装置。
- 前記画像記録制御手段が、1つの記録媒体に画像を記録する一画像記録処理を繰り返し実行し、
前記不吐出駆動制御手段が、前記一画像記録処理が終了してから次の一画像記録処理を実行するまでの期間である不吐出期間に、前記駆動回路から前記アクチュエータへと前記不吐出駆動信号を供給させることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の記録装置。 - 前記不吐出期間に前記駆動回路によって前記アクチュエータへと供給される不吐出パルス信号の単位時間当たりの数が、前記一画像記録処理において前記駆動回路から前記アクチュエータへと供給される吐出パルス信号及び不吐出パルス信号の単位時間当たりの合計数より大きいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の記録装置。
- 前記不吐出駆動制御手段は、
前記不吐出期間において前記アクチュエータへと供給される前記不吐出駆動信号を、前記一画像記録処理において前記アクチュエータへと供給される前記吐出駆動信号よりも高い駆動周波数で前記駆動回路によって供給することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の記録装置。 - 前記所定の期間が、前記不吐出期間とその前又は後に連なる前記一画像記録処理が実行される期間とからなることを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載の記録装置。
- 前記記録ヘッドが、複数の前記吐出口と、これらに対応する複数の前記アクチュエータとを有しており、
前記不吐出駆動制御手段が、
前記複数のアクチュエータのうちの一部へと前記駆動回路によって前記不吐出駆動信号を供給させた後に、前記複数のアクチュエータのうちの他の一部へと前記駆動回路によって前記不吐出駆動信号を供給させることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の記録装置。 - 前記記録ヘッドは、外部から供給された液体が貯留される共通液体室と、前記アクチュエータと対向して配置された圧力室をそれぞれ含み前記共通液体室の出口から前記圧力室のそれぞれを介して前記吐出口に至る複数の個別液体流路とを有し、
前記圧力室が前記記録ヘッドに沿った一方向に配列されることにより、互いに平行な複数の圧力室列が前記記録ヘッドに形成されており、
前記不吐出駆動制御手段は、
前記複数の圧力室列のうち、一列置きに配列された一方の前記圧力室列の組に対応する複数の前記アクチュエータへと前記不吐出駆動信号を供給させた後、一列置きに配列された他方の前記圧力室の組に対応する複数の前記アクチュエータへと前記不吐出駆動信号を供給させることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の記録装置。 - 前記駆動回路が、含まれるパルス信号の数が互いに異なる複数種類の前記吐出駆動信号を選択的に前記アクチュエータに供給し、
前記吐出駆動信号が前記アクチュエータに供給された際に前記吐出口から吐出される液体の量が、前記吐出駆動信号の種類ごとに異なり、
前記信号数算出手段は、
前記所定の期間内に前記アクチュエータに供給される吐出パルス信号の合計数に対する前記補正パルス数の割合が前記吐出駆動信号の数に応じて変化するように、前記不吐出駆動信号の数を算出することを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の記録装置。 - 前記記録ヘッドが、複数の前記駆動回路を有しており、
前記信号数算出手段が、
前記補正パルス数と、前記所定の期間内に前記アクチュエータに供給される前記不吐出駆動信号に含まれるパルス信号の合計数との和が、前記複数の駆動回路同士で全て一致するように、前記不吐出駆動信号の数を算出することを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の記録装置。
