Abstract
【解決手段】エンジン18の運転中にその回転変動状態を検出して(ステップS5)、これに対応して駆動トルクが増減するようにジェネレータ20を制御し(S7)、スプライン嵌合部における歯と歯の接触を維持するために過不足のない駆動トルクを発生させる。これにより歯打ち音(ノイズ)の発生を抑制しつつ、そのためにエンジン18にかかる負荷は必要最小限に留めて、徒な燃費増大を回避する。

Description
図1は、本発明に係る制御システムを搭載したハイブリッド自動車10(HEV)の動力系統を概略的に示している。図において、太い実線は動力の伝達経路を示し、細い実線は電力の伝達経路を示している。また、一点鎖線は信号の伝達経路を示している。
一例としてコントロールユニット50は、図3のマップに示すように、車両負荷とバッテリ16のSOCとに基づいてエンジン18をON−OFF制御し、運転中のエンジン18を停止させたり、停止中のエンジン18を再始動させたりする。車両負荷は、自動車10の走行状態と電気負荷26の作動状態から決まる負荷であり、コントロールユニット50は、この車両負荷のうち、走行状態に関連する負荷を車速センサ52やアクセルセンサ54からの信号に基づいて演算し、電気負荷26の作動による負荷をバッテリ電流センサ42、バッテリ電圧センサ44及びバッテリ温度センサ46からの信号に基づいて演算する。バッテリ16のSOCは、バッテリ電流センサ42、バッテリ電圧センサ44及びバッテリ温度センサ46からの信号に基づいて演算する。
ところで、この実施形態では、上述したようにエンジン18のクランクシャフト18aにスプライン嵌合によってジェネレータ20が連結されていて、その噛み合い部分において歯と歯の間に隙間があることから、一方の歯が他方の歯と衝突するときに発生する歯打ち音によって、耳障りなノイズが発生する虞れがある。
以下に、コントロールユニット50によるエンジン18及びジェネレータ20の制御の手順を具体的に、図5に示すフローに沿って説明する。まず、スタート後のステップS1で各センサからの信号を読込み、これに基づいて車両負荷とバッテリ16のSOCとを算出する(ステップS2)。続いてステップS3ではエンジン18の運転中か否かを判定し、運転中であればステップS4に進む一方、運転中でない、即ち停止している場合は後述のステップS11に進む。

Claims (8)
- 自動車のエンジンの出力軸に噛み合い機構を介して電動機が連結されている場合に、その噛み合い機構におけるノイズが小さくなるように電動機を制御する、ハイブリッド自動車の制御方法であって、
エンジンの回転変動状態を検出する第1工程と、
その回転変動に同期して前記電動機を、回転角速度の増大に応じて駆動負荷が減少する一方、回転角速度の減少に応じて駆動負荷が増大するように制御する第2工程と、
を有することを特徴とするハイブリッド自動車の制御方法。 - 電動機は、エンジンにより駆動されて発電作動するジェネレータであり、
第2工程では、前記ジェネレータの発電量が多いときほど、その駆動負荷の変化幅を小さくする、請求項1記載のハイブリッド自動車の制御方法。 - エンジンの運転中にその出力トルクが瞬間的に負値になるか否か判定する第3工程を有し、

電動機制御手段は、前記判定手段によってエンジン出力トルクが瞬間的に負値になると判定されたときにのみ、電動機の駆動負荷を増減させる制御を行うものである、請求項5又は6のいずれかに記載のハイブリッド自動車の制御装置。 - 電動機制御手段は、運転中のエンジンが停止するときには燃料供給の停止から出力軸が回転を停止するまでの間、継続して所定以上の駆動負荷となるように電動機を制御するものである、請求項5〜7のいずれか1つに記載のハイブリッド自動車の制御装置。
