Abstract
【解決手段】軸線O回りに回転される軸状のドリル本体1の外周に、その先端逃げ面3から後端側に向けて切屑排出溝4が形成され、切屑排出溝4のドリル回転方向Tを向く壁面4Aと先端逃げ面3との交差稜線部に切刃2Aが形成され、切刃2Aが形成されたドリル本体1先端側の切刃部2は、切刃2Aの外径Dに対して軸線O方向後端側の外径が小さくされるとともに、切刃部2の後端側には、切刃部2後端における外径よりも大径で切刃2Aの外径Dに対しては小径または同径の最大外径部6Aを先端外周側に有するガイド部6が形成され、ガイド部6の最大外径部6Aは、軸線O回りの回転軌跡において滑らかな凸曲線状とされる。

Claims (4)
- 軸線回りに回転される軸状のドリル本体の外周に、その先端逃げ面から後端側に向けて切屑排出溝が形成されていて、この切屑排出溝のドリル回転方向を向く壁面と上記先端逃げ面との交差稜線部に切刃が形成されており、上記ドリル本体先端側の切刃部は、上記切刃の外径に対して上記軸線方向後端側の外径が小さくされているとともに、この切刃部の後端側には、該切刃部後端における外径よりも大径で上記切刃の外径に対しては小径または同径の最大外径部を先端外周側に有するガイド部が形成されており、このガイド部の上記最大外径部は、上記軸線回りの回転軌跡において滑らかな凸曲線状をなしていることを特徴とするドリル。
- 上記ガイド部の最大外径部が上記軸線回りの回転軌跡においてなす凸曲線の曲率半径が、0.1mm〜0.5mmの範囲内とされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドリル。
- 上記ガイド部は、上記最大外径部に対して上記軸線方向後端側の外径が小さくされているとともに、上記切刃部の後端側には上記軸線方向に複数の当該ガイド部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のドリル。
- 上記切刃部の後端側には上記軸線方向に複数の当該ガイド部が形成されていて、このうち最後端のガイド部の上記最大外径部が、上記切刃部の先端から上記切屑排出溝の上記軸線方向の溝長さLに対してL/2までの範囲内に位置するように形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のドリル。
