Abstract

Description
本出願明細書は、2006年6月2日付け出願米国特許明細第60/810455号、発明者名クリストフ・ラムステイン、グレッグ・タシュリアン、及びダニー・A・グラント、発明の名称「混成ハプティック機器」に基づく優先権を主張する。
本主題は、一般的にハプティックな力学的フィードバックを提供する入力機器に関する。より具体的には、一以上の実施形態は、機械的に生成されたハプティック効果を、ユーザ・インタフェース機器においてプログラム可能なハプティック効果及び/又は電子的に生成される音と結合することに関する。
Claims (20)
- 回転可能なシャフト;
前記シャフトに結合されるマニピュランダム;
前記マニピュランダムに結合され、回転に応答して一以上の機械的ハプティック効果を生成するよう構成される機械的ハプティック・アセンブリ;
前記マニピュランダムの操作の態様を測定し、発生する操作情報を出力するように構成されるセンサ;及び、
プログラム可能なハプティック効果を提供するために前記操作に動作可能に結合して信号に応答するアクチュエータを含む、
回転入力制御機器。 - さらに、音声変換器を含み、
前記制御機器は、前記操作の態様に応答して前記音声変換器に音声信号を出力するように構成される、
請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。 - 前記機械的ハプティック・アセンブリは複数の機械的デテントを備える、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記機械的ハプティック・アセンブリは機械的ハードストップを備える、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- さらに、前記デテント内の位置で前記ハプティック出力信号を生成するよう構成されるコントローラを含む、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記操作の態様は前記マニピュランダムが回転する速度を含む、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記操作の態様は機械的デテントの少なくとも一部分の半径方向位置の検出を含む、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記コントローラは、前記マニピュランダムがデテントの残り又は好適な位置にある間に、前記ハプティック出力信号を生成するよう構成される、請求項5に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記コントローラは、前記マニピュランダム・アセンブリがデテントに捕捉され、前記間にプランダムが捕捉される特定のデテントに対して前記ハプティック出力信号が少なくとも一部において応答性である間に、前記ハプティック出力信号を生成するよう構成される、請求項5に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記ハプティック効果は抵抗性の力学的フィードバックである、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記ハプティック効果は介助性の力学的フィードバックである、請求項1に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記ハプティック信号は少なくとも一つのハードストップの生成を提供する、請求項5に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記ハプティック信号は、所与の時間におけるユーザ・インタフェースの状態に従って、機械的デテントを分離するためのハードストップの生成を提供する、請求項5に記載の回転入力制御機器。
- 前記コントローラは、前記マニピュランダムのデテント進入に応答して音声信号を音声変換器に出力するように構成される、
請求項5に記載の回転入力制御機器。 - ノブ及び結合した機械的ハプティック・アセンブリを相互に同期して回転するステップと、
前記回転に応答して前記機械的ハプティック・アセンブリから機械的ハプティック効果を生成するステップと、
前記回転入力制御機器の操作の態様をセンサによりセンシングするステップと、
前記センシングされた前記回転入力制御機器の操作の態様に応答するコントローラへ前記回転入力制御機器から信号を送信するステップと、
前記回転入力制御機器に操作可能に結合したアクチュエータからプログラム可能なハプティック効果を生成するステップと、を含む、
回転入力制御機器と相互作用する方法。 - さらに、前記回転入力制御機器に操作可能に結合した音声変換器からプログラム可能な音声効果を生成するステップを含む、
請求項15に記載の方法。 - さらに、前記機械的ハプティック・アセンブリの回転により機械的デテントを生成するステップを含む、
請求項15に記載の方法。 - 前記ハプティック・アセンブリは前記回転に伴うハードストップを生成するよう構成される、請求項15に記載の方法。
