【解決手段】反応装置のサイクル時間の少なくとも2回分の間、所定量のキル剤を反応装置中に注入する。
Description
本発明は特に、チーグラー−ナッタ触媒またはメタロセン触媒を用いたオレフィンの触媒重合方法に関するものである。
下記文献にはルイス塩基(および水)を使用してオレフィン重合反応の活性を制御すること、そして、必要な場合には、全反応を実質的に完全に終了する方法が記載されている。
下記文献に記載のメタロセン触媒を用いたオレフィン重合によるオレフィンポリマーの製造方法では、少なくとも一種の揮発性触媒キル剤(kill agent)を導入する。
下記文献は低圧力の気相反応装置で実行されるオレフィン重合を停止させる方法に関するものである。
本発明の目的は、重合をキルし(殺し)、重合が再び始まらないようにすることにある。
本発明者は、反応装置のサイクル時間の少なくとも2回分の間、所定量のキル剤を反応装置中に注入すれば、チーグラー−ナッタ触媒またはメタロセン触媒を用いた液相でのオレフィンの連続触媒重合をキルできるということを見出した。
マルチループ反応装置の場合、キル剤は全てのループまたは所定のループのみに注入できる。各ループを個別反応装置と見なして各ループに噴射するのが有利である。
Claims (9)
- チーグラー−ナッタ触媒またはメタロセン触媒を用いた液相でのオレフィンの連続触媒重合をキルする方法において、
反応装置のサイクル時間の少なくとも2回分の間、所定量のキル剤を反応装置中に注入することを特徴とする方法。 - キル剤をサイクル時間の2〜10回分の間注入する請求項1に記載の方法。
- キル剤をサイクル時間の2〜6回分の間注入する請求項2に記載の方法。
- 反応装置でポリエチレンを作る請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリエチレンがHDPEである請求項4に記載の方法。
- 反応装置がループ反応装置である請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 反応装置がダブルループ反応装置である請求項6に記載方法。
- キル剤が少なくとも30重量%の水を含む混合物である請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- キル剤が重量配合率が50/50のイソプロパノールと水である請求項8に記載の方法。
