Abstract
Description
典型的なプロセスでは、粒径が約0.2μmの(改質または未改質)フルオロポリマーは、任意で、ポリマーの性質によって界面活性剤および/または架橋溶媒と混合することにより水中分散液に形成される。分散液は、一般に1〜1.5cmの深さまでトレーに注入される。次に、分散液の入ったトレーを−60〜−20℃の間の温度に凍結させる。凍結時にトレーを真空室に装入し、圧力を0.01〜0.99気圧の間、より一般的には0.04〜0.08atmまで低下させる。これらの条件下で液体担体の昇華が起こる。さらなる加熱を加えて凍結担体材料の融解を回避すると同時に昇華プロセスを助け、かつ二次乾燥を補助してもよい。
固形分が23〜27重量%、372℃で測定したメルトフローレートが7.2g/10分のPFA水中分散液。
上記の分散体に含めることのできるその他の成分としては以下のものが挙げられる:
CARBOREXの、平均粒度3ミクロンの炭化珪素、
RYTONの、ポリフェニレンスルフィド(PPS)、
Bayferox社製「レッド120」酸化鉄顔料、
Ferro社製「PK6075」オーカー顔料、
Johnson Matthey社製「34E23」ブラック無機顔料。
Claims (11)
- 固体フルオロポリマー粒子および1つ以上の増量剤の水性液体担体中懸濁液を凍結させる段階と、凍結担体を昇華させて改質されたフルオロポリマーを乾燥粉末として残す段階を特徴とする、改質されたフルオロポリマー粉末材料の調製のための方法。
- 昇華が気圧以下の圧力を用いて達成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 減圧が0.01〜0.99atmの範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 昇華がフルオロポリマーのガラス転移温度よりも低い温度で実施されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 昇華が周囲温度にて実施されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 昇華が周囲温度とフルオロポリマーのガラス転移温度との間の温度にて行われることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 固体フルオロポリマー粒子および増量剤の液体担体中懸濁液が、−60℃〜−20℃の範囲の温度で凍結することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 固体フルオロポリマー粒子および増量剤の液体担体中懸濁液がトレー中で凍結することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 増量剤が、顔料および/または結合剤を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 固体フルオロポリマー粒子が微粉砕および/または照射によりさらに改質されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フルオロポリマーが、フィブリル化性(fibrillatable)および/またはポンプ輸送が不可能である(non−pumpable)、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
