Abstract
Description
形状が上記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つ基板を与えるステップと、
上記基板表面上に光学複屈折物質とポリマ前駆体との光学層混合物を提供するステップと、
少なくともポリマ表面層を形成し、レンズ要素アレイを囲むよう、ポリマ前駆体をポリマ化するための刺激に上記光学層をさらすステップとを有する。
ガラス基板を与え、
上記ガラス基板の上に透過的な導電層を与え、及び
上部表面として、形状が上記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つレプリカ層を与えることにより、形状が上記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つ上記基板を製造するステップを更に有する。
上記基板の上にポリイミド層を与えるステップと、
上記ポリイミド層をベーキング及びラビングするステップとを更に有する。
光学複屈折物質とポリマ前駆体との混合物から形成されるアレイ状のレンズ要素を有し、上記アレイ状のレンズ要素が、基板間に延在し、形状が前記湾曲したレンズ要素表面に対応する上部表面を持ち、ポリマ上部層は、上記混合物の上記ポリマ前駆体の一部のポリマ化により形成される。
自動立体画像への変換のための1つ又は複数の2次元出力画像を与える表示デバイスと、
本発明の切替可能レンズデバイスとを有する。
50重量パーセント(wt%)の液晶混合物、例えば、Merckにより販売される混合物E7;
44.5重量パーセント(wt%)の(Sartomerにより供給される)フォト重合可能なメタクリル酸イソボルニル;及び
4.5重量パーセント(wt%)のスチルベン・ジメタクリレート染料である。
商標Irgacure 651の下にCiba-Geigyにより販売される0.5重量パーセント(wt%)のベンジルジメチルケタールとである。
Claims (21)
- 自動立体表示装置のためのレンズ装置を作る方法において、前記レンズデバイスが、アレイ状のレンズ要素を有し、前記方法は、
形状が前記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つ基板を与えるステップと、
前記基板表面上に光学複屈折物質とポリマ前駆体との光学層混合物を提供するステップと、
少なくともポリマ表面層を形成し、レンズ要素アレイを囲むよう、ポリマ前駆体をポリマ化するための刺激に前記光学層をさらすステップとを有する、方法。 - 前記レンズ要素が、前記ポリマ化された物質と前記基板表面との間に囲まれるポリマ化されていない電気光学物質を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマ表面層が、実質的にフラットであり、実質的に一様な厚みである、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記光学層混合物が、コーティング処理により与えられる、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記光学層混合物が、プリンティングにより与えられる、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記光学層混合物が、ドクターブレードを用いて適用される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記光学複屈折物質が、液晶物質を有する、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記光学層を刺激にさらすステップが、前記光学層をUV放射線にさらすステップを有する、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 形状が前記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つ前記基板を、
ガラス基板を与え、
前記ガラス基板の上に透過的な導電層を与え、及び
上部表面として、形状が前記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つレプリカ層を与えることにより製造するステップを更に有する、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記形状が前記アレイ状のレンズ要素に対する所望の表面輪郭に対応する表面を持つ基板の製造ステップが、
前記基板の上にポリイミド層を与えるステップと、
前記ポリイミド層をベーキング及びラビングするステップとを更に有する、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記分離したポリマ表面層の上に透過的な導電層を適用するステップを更に有する、請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記透過的な導電層がインジウムスズ酸化物を有する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 自動立体表示装置のためのレンズデバイスであって、
光学複屈折物質とポリマ前駆体との混合物から形成されるアレイ状のレンズ要素を有し、前記アレイ状のレンズ要素が、基板間に延在し、形状が前記湾曲したレンズ要素表面に対応する上部表面を持ち、ポリマ上部層は、前記混合物の前記ポリマ前駆体の一部のポリマ化により形成される、レンズデバイス。 - 前記レンズ要素が、前記ポリマ上部層と前記基板表面との間に囲まれる、ポリマ化されていない電気光学的な光学複屈折物質を有し、電気的に切替可能である、請求項13に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ポリマ上部層が、実質的にフラットであり、実質的に一様な厚みである、請求項13又は14に記載のデバイス。
- 前記光学複屈折物質が、液晶物質を有する、請求項13乃至15のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記基板の上部表面が、ラビングされたポリイミド層を具備する、請求項13乃至16のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 透過導電層が、前記ポリイミド表面層の上に与えられる、請求項13乃至18のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記透過導電層が、インジウムスズ酸化物を有する、請求項18に記載のデバイス。
- 前記レンズ要素が、ポリマ化された光学複屈折物質を有し、前記デバイスは、偏光切替装置を更に有する、請求項13に記載のデバイス。
- 自動立体画像への変換のための1つ又は複数の2次元出力画像を与える表示デバイスと、請求項13乃至20のいずれか一項に記載のレンズデバイスとを有する、自動立体表示デバイス。
