Abstract

Description
本出願は、2005年11月21日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/738,523号の優先権を主張する。
本発明は、無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給するシステムに関する。より具体的には、本発明は、無線エネルギーを受信し、その無線エネルギーを移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ伝送するポータル内に移動機器がある場合に、エネルギーを電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給するシステムに関する。
プロセッサの能力が向上して所要電力が減少するにつれて、導線または電源コードから完全に独立して動作する機器が爆発的に増え続けている。これらの「無拘束」機器は、携帯電話や無線キーボードから、建物のセンサ、および能動無線周波数識別(RFID)タグにわたる。
本発明は、無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給するシステムに関する。本システムは、第1ポータルを含んでいて、移動機器が第1ポータル内にある場合に無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ伝送する。本システムは、第1ポータルとは別個の、第1ポータルと間隙で隔てられた第2ポータルを含んでいて、移動機器が第1ポータルおよび間隙を通過した後で第2ポータル内にある場合に第2ポータル内で無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ伝送する。

Claims (27)
- 第1ポータルと、
前記第1ポータルとは別個の、前記第1ポータルとある間隙で隔てられた第2ポータルと
を含む、無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給するシステムであって、
前記機器が前記第1ポータル内にある場合に、前記第1ポータル内で無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送し、
前記機器が前記第1ポータルおよび前記間隙を通過した後で第2ポータル内にある場合に、前記第2ポータル内で無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送するシステム。 - 各ポータルが最小電場強度により画定される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 各ポータルが無線エネルギー伝送装置を有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記無線エネルギー伝送装置がエネルギーのパルスを生成する、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1ポータルおよび第2ポータルとは別個の、第2ポータルと第2間隙で隔てられた第3ポータルを含んでいて、前記機器が前記第2ポータルおよび前記第2間隙を通過した後で前記第3ポータル内にある場合に、前記第3ポータル内で無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 各ポータルが無線エネルギー伝送装置を有する、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給する方法であって、
第1ポータル内へ前記機器を移動させて、前記機器が第1ポータル内にある場合に無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送するステップと、
前記機器が前記第1ポータル内にある場合に、前記第1ポータル内で伝送された無線エネルギーを前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置により電流に変換するステップと、
前記機器を前記第1ポータルから、前記第1ポータルと隔てられた別個の第2ポータルへ、前記第1ポータルと前記第2ポータルとの間隙を通過して移動させ、第2ポータル内に前記機器がある場合に無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送するステップと、
前記機器が前記第2ポータル内にある場合に、前記第2ポータル内で伝送された無線エネルギーを前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置により電流に変換するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記機器を前記第2ポータルから、前記第1ポータルおよび前記第2ポータルと隔てられた別個の第3ポータルへ、前記第2ポータルと前記第3ポータルとの間の第2間隙を通過して移動させて、前記機器が前記第3ポータル内にある場合に無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送するステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記機器を前記第1ポータルに移動させるステップが、荷積みドックにある第1ポータル内へ機器を移動させるステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換するエネルギー収集装置を有する移動機器に電力供給する方法であって、
ポータル内へ前記機器を移動させて、前記機器が前記ポータル内にある場合に無線エネルギーを受信して電流に変換すべく前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置へ無線エネルギーを伝送するステップと、
前記機器が前記ポータル内にある場合に、前記ポータル内で伝送された無線エネルギーを前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置により電流に変換するステップと、
前記機器を前記ポータルの外へ移動させるステップと、
前記機器を前記ポータル内へ戻して、前記機器が前記ポータル内にある場合に、前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置がエネルギーを受信して電流に変換するステップと、
前記機器が前記ポータル内に戻されている場合に、前記ポータル内で伝送された無線エネルギーを前記移動機器のエネルギー収集装置により電流に変換するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記ポータルが最小電場強度により画定される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ポータルが無線エネルギー伝送装置を有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記無線エネルギー伝送装置がエネルギーのパルスを生成する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記機器を前記ポータルに移動させるステップが、荷積みドックにあるポータル内へ前記機器を移動させるステップを含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記機器がRFIDタグである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記RFIDタグからデータ受信器へデータを送信するステップを含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 通信トランシーバにより前記機器と通信するステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記通信トランシーバが、無線エネルギー伝送装置と同一の場所に設置される、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記機器を前記ポータルに移動させるステップが、再充電キャビネットにあるポータル内へ前記機器を移動させるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 他の設備との干渉をなくして、再充電キャビネット内の遮蔽により人間をエネルギーから保護するステップを含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 通信トランシーバにより前記機器と通信するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記通信トランシーバが、前記エネルギー伝送装置と同一の場所に設置される、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記ポータルが複数の無線エネルギー伝送装置を有する、請求項12に記載の方法。
