Abstract
【解決手段】セルコントローラ10は、電圧検出線を介して電池群を構成する各単電池1の電圧を検出する単電池電圧検出部7と、容量調整用抵抗2とスイッチング素子6とスイッチング素子6のオンオフを制御するバイパス制御部8を有し単電池1の容量を調整する容量調整回路と、を備えている。検出線には抵抗2が直列に挿入されており、電圧検出部7は抵抗2を介して単電池1の電圧を検出するとともに、バイパス制御部8は容量調整時に調整対象の単電池1に対応するスイッチング素子6をオン状態として、調整対象の単電池1の正負極から導出された検出線のそれぞれに挿入された抵抗2が直列に接続され、かつ、該直列に接続された抵抗2が調整対象の単電池に並列接続されるように制御する。

図1に示すように、本実施形態のセルコントローラ10は、電池群を構成する各単電池1−1、1−2、1−3、1−4の電圧を電圧検出線を介して検出する単電池電圧検出部7と、容量調整用抵抗2−1、2−2、2−3、2−4、2−5、容量調整用抵抗2へのバイパス電流を通電するFET6−1、6−2、6−3、6−4およびFET6のオン、オフを制御するバイパス制御部8を有し各単電池1の容量を調整する容量調整回路とを備えている。
次に、本実施形態のセルコントローラ10の動作について説明する。なお、制御主体は、集積回路5内に実装された図示しないCPUであってもよいし、上位のコントローラが制御してもよい。
次に、本実施形態のセルコントローラ10の効果等について説明する。

Claims (7)
- 電池群を構成する各単電池の電圧を電圧検出線を介して検出する単電池電圧検出手段と、容量調整用の抵抗とスイッチング素子と前記スイッチング素子のオンオフを制御する制御部とを有し前記各単電池の容量を調整する容量調整手段とを備えたセルコントローラにおいて、前記電圧検出線には前記抵抗が直列に挿入されており、前記単電池電圧検出手段は前記抵抗を介して前記各単電池の電圧を検出するとともに、前記制御部は容量調整時に調整対象の単電池に対応する前記スイッチング素子をオン状態として、前記調整対象の単電池の正負極から導出された前記電圧検出線のそれぞれに挿入された抵抗が直列に接続され、かつ、該直列に接続された抵抗が前記調整対象の単電池に並列接続されるように制御することを特徴とするセルコントローラ。
- 前記単電池電圧検出手段による単電池電圧検出時に、前記制御部は、電圧検出対象の単電池と該電圧検出対象の単電池の上位および下位の単電池に対応するスイッチング素子をオフ状態に制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセルコントローラ。
- 前記制御部は、一定時間毎に、前記電圧検出対象の単電池を切り替えるように制御することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のセルコントローラ。
- 前記制御部は、前記電池群を構成する各単電池の上位、下位間で隣り合う単電池の容量調整を同時に行わないように制御することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のセルコントローラ。
- 前記制御部は、一定時間毎に、前記調整対象の単電池が、上位または下位側から奇数番目の単電池と偶数番目の単電池とに切り替わるように制御することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のセルコントローラ。
- 前記単電池電圧検出手段、並びに、前記容量調整手段のうち前記スイッチング素子および前記制御部を集積回路内に収容したことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のセルコントローラ。
- 前記抵抗の全部または一部を、前記電池群を構成する単電池の近傍に配置したことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のセルコントローラ。
