Abstract
Description
本発明は、染色されたフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングおよび染色されていないフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングを調製するための方法に関する。
フルオロポリマーベースのコーティングは、それらの顕著な優れた耐久性が公知であり、紫外放射線への曝露および/または風化の際に起こり得る小割れ、チョーキングおよび/または色変化に対する少なくともいくらかの耐久性を与える、頑丈な仕上げを提供する。フルオロポリマーコーティングは、種々の基材に対して、保護および/または装飾を与え得る。このようなコーティングは、多数の用途を有し、これらの用途は、例えば、シートメタルおよび金属の押出し成形品、建築物構成要素、および他の建造物構成要素においての用途である。フルオロポリマー粉末コーティングの調製は、歴史的に、低温粉砕を利用してきた。他の方法が、何年間にもわたって開発されているが、このようなコーティングを作製するための改善された方法が、望まれている。
本発明は、染色されていないフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングを調製するための方法に関し、この方法は、フルオロポリマーを、このフルオロポリマーと適合性である分散性樹脂と混合する工程、およびこの混合物を乾燥させる工程を包含する。本発明は、さらに、染色されたフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングを調製するための方法に関し、この方法は、フルオロポリマーを含有する第一の分散物と、顔料を含有する第二の分散物とをブレンドする工程、およびこのブレンドを乾燥させる工程を包含する。
本発明は、染色されていないフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングを調製するための方法に関する。この方法は、一般に、フルオロポリマーを、このフルオロポリマーと適合性である分散性樹脂と混合する工程を包含する。この混合物は、次いで、乾燥される。
PVDFおよびTiO2(白色)の分散物を、表1に列挙される成分を使用して作製した。これらのサンプルを、金属ビーカー内で、ジルコニア媒質および平坦な混合ブレードを用いて粉砕した。PVDFを、Hegmanゲージで5の読み取りが達成されるまで、粉砕した。TiO2を、7Hegmanまで粉砕した。これらの溶液は、両方とも、実質的に水100%ベースであった。
2 Tego Chemieから入手可能な消泡剤。
3 Arkemaから入手可能な、粉末形態のポリフッ化ビニリデン。
4 DuPontから入手可能な二酸化チタン。
実施例1の分散物を、表2に示されるように、さらなるアクリルと組み合わせた。
PVDFおよびTiO2の分散物を、表3の成分を使用して、実施例1に与えられる手順を使用して作製した。これらの溶液は、水約90%および共溶媒10%であった。
実施例3の分散物を、表4に示されるように、さらなるアクリルと組み合わせた。
架橋剤を含むコーティングを、表5の成分を使用して作製した。
Claims (20)
- 染色されていないフルオロポリマー粉末コーティングを調製するための方法であって、該方法は、
(1)フルオロポリマーを、該フルオロポリマーと適合性である分散性樹脂と混合する工程;および
(2)工程1の混合物を乾燥させる工程;
を包含する、方法。 - 前記分散性樹脂が、アクリルを含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散性樹脂が、官能性を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記官能性が、酸官能性である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記分散性樹脂が、水分散性である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記分散性樹脂が、溶媒分散性である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- (3)工程2の乾燥された混合物を粉砕する工程、
をさらに包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記分散物が、架橋剤をさらに含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記架橋剤が、ブロックイソシアネートを含有する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記フルオロポリマーが、ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン)を含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 染色された粉末コーティングを調製するための方法であって、該方法は、
(1)(a)フルオロポリマーを含有する第一の分散物と、(b)顔料を含有する第二の分散物とをブレンドする工程;および
(2)工程1のブレンドを乾燥させる工程、
を包含する、方法。 - 前記第一の分散物および第二の分散物が、溶媒ベースである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の分散物および第二の分散物が、水ベースである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 一方の分散物が、水ベースであり、そして一方の分散物が、溶媒ベースである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記分散物のうちの少なくとも一方が、コンピュータで処理される分配システムから分配される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記分散物が、酸官能性を有する、水分散性のアクリルを含有する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- (3)工程2の乾燥されたブレンドを粉砕する工程、
をさらに包含する、請求項11に記載の方法。 - 前記分散物のうちのいずれかまたは両方が、架橋剤をさらに含有する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記架橋剤が、ブロックイソシアネートを含有する、請求項18に記載の方法。
