Abstract
Description
反応式1:本発明によるグリオキサールとアセトールのアルドール縮合
式(I)の化合物は、以下において定義するように、より複雑な骨格を有する化合物、例えば4−ヒドロキシ−2,5−ジメチル−3(2H)−フラノン(Firmenich SA社の商標Furaneol(R)として既知である)を製造するための出発材料として有用となりうる。
上記の課題を解決するため、また化合物(I)の代替的な製造方法を提供するために、本発明は単一の工程で行われ、かつ良好な収率を有する化合物(I)の合成を目的とした触媒方法に関する。
実験手順
水中の40質量%のメチルグリオキサール(9g、50mmol)、亜鉛アセテート(0.44g)およびヒドロキシ−アセトン(7.4g)のエチルアセテート(20ml)中の溶液を38/40°で40時間にわたり攪拌した(反応媒体のpHは約4.5であった)。反応の終了時(ガスクロマトグラフィーにより監視することができる)、反応混合物をエチルアセテート(3×50ml)を用いて抽出した。有機相をブライン(1×)を用いて中性になるまで洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウム上で乾燥させ、また真空状態で濃縮し、6gの粗製3,4−ジヒドロキシヘキサン−2,5−ジオンを得て、これを0.1mbarかつ120〜150°でバルブ・ツー・バルブ(Bulb-to-bulb)蒸留し、2つの3,4−ジヒドロキシヘキサン−2,5−ジオン異性体の混合物3.8gを得た。
Claims (7)
- 式
式FeX3またはMX2[式中、MはZn2+,Mg2+,Cu2+,Fe2+またはCa2+であり、かつXはC1〜C7カルボキシレート、ハロゲン化物または式[R2COCHCOR2]-(式中、R2はC1〜C3アルキル基またはフェニル基を表す)のアセチルアセトネート誘導体である]の触媒の存在での、含水反応媒体中で、式
- R1はメチル基を表す、請求項1記載の方法。
- 含水反応媒体は少なくとも10%の水を含み、パーセンテージは媒体の質量に対する、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 反応媒体は3.5〜7.0のpHを有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 触媒は式MX2[式中、MはZn2+またはMg2+であり、かつXはアセテート、プロピオネート、フリオリドまたは[CH3COCHCOCH3]-である]である、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 触媒はZn(アセテート)2,Zn(acac)2,ZnF2またはMg(acac)2である、請求項5記載の方法。
- 触媒はZnX2[式中、XはC1〜C3カルボキシレートを表す]である、請求項1記載の方法。
