Abstract
【解決手段】鋼製の第1摺動部材と第2摺動部材とが相互に荷重がかかった状態で相互に摺動する摺動部品において、第1摺動部材および第2摺動部材の各表面に、互いに異なる炭化物からなる皮膜を形成する。そして、これら炭化物皮膜の硬度比(大きい方の硬度/小さい方の硬度)を、1.4以下の範囲とする。

Description
よって本発明は、耐摩耗性の一層の向上が図られる摺動部品を提供することを目的としている。
図1は本発明が適用された一実施形態のサイレントチェーンの一部を示している。このチェーンは、複数列に並んだリンク10がピン20によって連結された構成である。リンク10は、内側のリンク11と、隣接する内側リンク11にわたる外側のリンクプレート12がある。ピン20は、リンク10に対し相対回転自在に組み込まれている。このサイレントチェーンにおいては、リンク10が本発明の第1摺動部材、ピン20が本発明の第2摺動部材に該当する。
[1]摩耗試験1
図3のグラフの右に示す表面硬化処理がなされたピンとリンクとの組み合わせF〜Iでローラチェーンを試験的に作製して作動させ、ピンとリンクそれぞれ、および両者を併せた総摩耗量を調べた。ここでのオーステンパーは、靱性、耐摩耗性、耐衝撃性を向上させるとともに歪みや寸法変化を少なくするための周知のオーステンパー処理がされた鋼である。オーステンパー処理は、鋼材を無酸化雰囲気中で800〜900℃の温度に上げ、250〜400℃の塩浴に恒温焼入れする処理である。
図4に示すように、リンク材にピン材を荷重をかけながら往復摺動させ、相互の接触面圧と摩擦荷重を調べるとともに、焼き付き限界を調べる焼き付き試験を行った。この試験に供した試料の組み合わせ「第1の摺動部材であるリンク材(単相硬質皮膜の材質)−第2の摺動部材であるピン材(複相硬質皮膜の材質)」は、以下のA〜Eの5種類である。なお、以下の説明での「硬度比」は「ピン材の硬度/リンク材の硬度」を言う。
(ピン側のCrTiCは炭化クロムからなるマトリックス相中に該マトリックス相の粒径と同じかそれ以上の大きさの炭化チタン粒子が分散してなる複相硬質皮膜)
B: CrC−CrVC 硬度比1.2(本発明に相当)
(ピン側のCrVCは炭化クロムからなるマトリックス相中に該マトリックス相の粒径と同じかそれ以上の大きさの炭化バナジウム粒子が分散してなる複相硬質皮膜)
C: CrC−VC 硬度比1.4 (本発明に相当)
(ピン側のVCは炭化バナジウムからなる単相硬質皮膜が表面に形成されている)
D:CrC−CrC 硬度比1 (本発明外の比較例)
(硬度比は本発明に一致するが同じ材質同士)
E:Fe−VC 硬度比4.4 (本発明外の比較例)
(リンク側は鋼:Feで硬質皮膜なし)
図7に示す2種類の組み合わせの表面硬化処理がなされたリンク材(第1摺動部材)とピン材(第2摺動部材)との組み合わせでサイレントチェーンを試験的に作製して作動させ、リンク材とピン材それぞれ、および両者を併せた総摩耗量を調べた。なお、組み合わせは、リンク材−ピン材が、「Fe−CrVC」と「CrC−CrVC(本発明)」である。チェーンの作動条件は、両端のスプロケット歯数:18T×36T、スプロケット回転数:18T側が8000rpm、チェーン張力:186kgf、潤滑油:10W−30にコンタミ油0.9%添加、潤滑油量:1リットル/min 潤滑油温:80〜90℃とし、50時間作動させた。

Claims (4)
- 鋼製の第1摺動部材と第2摺動部材とが相互に荷重がかかった状態で相互に摺動する摺動部品であって、
前記第1摺動部材および前記第2摺動部材の各表面には互いに異なる炭化物からなる皮膜が形成されており、
これら炭化物皮膜の硬度比が1.4以下であることを特徴とする摺動部品。 - 前記第1摺動部材の前記炭化物皮膜と前記第2摺動部材の炭化物皮膜の少なくとも一方が、炭化物からなるマトリックス相中に炭化物相が分散してなる複相硬質皮膜であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記第1摺動部材の炭化物皮膜は炭化物からなる単相硬質皮膜であり、
前記第2摺動部材の炭化物皮膜は炭化物からなるマトリックス相中に炭化物相が分散してなる複相硬質皮膜であり、
第1摺動部材の表面と第2摺動部材の表面との間に、潤滑油が介在することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の摺動部品。 - 前記第1摺動部材の炭化物皮膜である前記単相硬質皮膜は、炭化クロムからなり、
前記第2摺動部材の炭化物皮膜である前記複相硬質皮膜は、炭化クロムからなるマトリックス相中に炭化バナジウム相および/または炭化チタン相が分散してなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の摺動部品。
