エンジンの燃焼室へ水素リッチガスを供給する水素リッチガス供給管に設けられた水素リッチガスの供給量または供給圧力を検出する検出手段と、検出手段で検出された供給量または供給圧力に基づいて、エンジンの燃焼室に設置している水素リッチガス供給バルブの開閉時期および開閉リフト量で制御する水素リッチガス供給バルブ制御手段と、水素リッチガス供給バルブとは独立して、エンジンの燃焼室に空気を供給する吸気バルブと、吸気バルブによりエンジンの燃焼室に吸入する空気量を制御する吸気バルブ制御手段とを備えたエンジンシステム。

21が搭載されており、エンジン1と接続される配管を水素リッチガス供給用水素リッチガス供給管19と吸気管6のどちらかに選択することができる。吸気行程時初期においては、エンジン1は水素リッチガス供給管19と接続されており、所定量の水素リッチガスがエンジンに供給された後に、吸気管6がエンジン1と接続されるように切替バルブ21を切り替えることができる。また、吸気行程時に所定の空気量がエンジンに供給されない場合は、圧縮機34を使って過給することで、所定空気量をエンジン1へ供給するよう制御される。本システム構成では、水素リッチガス供給用バルブと吸気バルブをひとつのバルブで兼用しているため、構成部品の簡素化,バルブ制御の簡略化を図ることができる。

Claims (16)
- 水素リッチガスを燃料の一つとしてエンジンを駆動するエンジンシステムにおいて、前記エンジンの燃焼室へ水素リッチガスを供給する水素リッチガス供給管に設けられた水素リッチガスの供給量または供給圧力を検出する検出手段と、前記検出手段で検出された供給量または供給圧力に基づいて、前記エンジンの燃焼室に設置している水素リッチガス供給バルブの開閉時期および開閉リフト量で制御する水素リッチガス供給バルブ制御手段と、前記水素リッチガス供給バルブとは独立して、前記エンジンの燃焼室に空気を供給する吸気バルブと、前記吸気バルブにより前記エンジンの燃焼室に吸入する空気量を制御する吸気バルブ制御手段とを備えることを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
- 請求項1に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、水素の貯蔵と放出を化学的に繰り返す媒体から水素ガスを生成する水素供給装置を備え、前記水素供給装置で生成された水素リッチガスを前記エンジンの燃焼室へ供給することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
- 請求項1に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、前記水素リッチガス供給バルブ制御手段及び前記吸気バルブ供給手段により、前記エンジンに供給する前記水素ガスと吸入空気量との割合を所定範囲内に制御することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
- 請求項1に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、前記エンジンの燃焼室へ前記水素ガスを供給した後に空気を供給することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
- 請求項1に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、前記空気量の制御は、過給圧を制御する、または、前記吸気バルブの開閉時期または開閉リフト量を制御することのうち、少なくとも一つ以上を制御することにより行うことを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
- 請求項2に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、
前記媒体をエンジンの燃焼室に供給するための媒体供給手段を有し、
前記媒体の供給量に応じて前記水素リッチガス供給量バルブの開閉時期および開閉リフト量を制御することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンにおいて、
前記媒体をエンジンの燃焼室に供給するための媒体供給手段を有し、
前記媒体のみをエンジンに運転する際に、前記水素リッチガス供給用バルブを空気供給用に切り替えることを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンにおいて、
前記媒体をエンジンの燃焼室に供給するための媒体供給手段を有し、
前記水素リッチガス供給管が切替バルブを介して吸気管と接続され、前記水素リッチガス供給用バルブからエンジンの燃焼室へ空気を供給可能なことを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンにおいて、
前記媒体を燃料のひとつとしてエンジンの燃焼室に供給するための媒体供給手段を有し、
エンジンへ供給する燃料の供給量に対する水素リッチガスの供給量割合に応じて、前記空気量を制御することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンにおいて、
前記検出手段で検出された供給量または供給圧力に基づいて、
水素供給装置へ供給する媒体の供給量を制御する媒体供給量制御手段、あるいは、
水素供給装置へ供給する熱供給量を制御する熱供給量制御手段を有することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 水素リッチガスを燃料の一つとしてエンジンを駆動するエンジンシステムにおいて、
エンジンの燃焼室に設置された吸気バルブと、前記吸気バルブと接続された吸気管と、前記吸気管に接続され、前記水素リッチガスをエンジンへ供給する水素リッチガス供給管とを有し、
前記吸気管と水素リッチガス供給管との接続部に切替弁が設置されていることを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項11に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、
前記エンジンの吸気行程初期に水素リッチガス供給管が吸気バルブと繋がるように前記切替弁を制御し、所定水素量がエンジンに供給されたのち、水素リッチガス供給管と吸気バルブとを遮断し、吸気バルブと吸気管が繋がるように制御する切替弁制御手段を有することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項11に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、
前記吸気バルブの開閉時期および開閉リフト量を制御する吸気バルブ制御手段を有することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項13に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、
前記水素リッチガス供給管に設けられた水素リッチガスの供給量または供給圧力を検出する検出手段を有し、前記検出手段で検出された供給量または供給圧力に基づいて前記吸気バルブの開閉時期および開閉リフト量を制御することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項11に記載のエンジンシステムにおいて、
水素の貯蔵と放出を化学的に繰り返す媒体から水素ガスを生成する水素供給装置を備え、前記水素供給装置で生成された水素リッチガスを前記エンジンの燃焼室へ供給することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項13に記載のエンジンにおいて、
前記検出手段で検出された供給量または供給圧力に基づいて、
水素供給装置へ供給する媒体の供給量を制御する媒体供給量制御手段、あるいは、
水素供給装置へ供給する熱供給量を制御する熱供給量制御手段を有することを特徴とするエンジンシステム。
