Abstract
【解決手段】コンタクトレンズ用ブリスタパッケージ(10)は、コンタクトレンズ及び液体を収容するよう寸法決めされているキャビティ(16)を備えたベース部材(12)を有する。キャビティ、コンタクトレンズ及び液体は、組合せ状態で協働して、キャビティの底面のほうへ差し向けられた部分的にコリメートされた光をコリメートする。キャビティは、取外し可能な密封部材(14)をキャビティ周りにベース部材に取り付けることによって密封可能である。かかるパッケージを用いてオフサルミックレンズを検査する方法も又、開示される。

Claims (22)
- コンタクトレンズ用ブリスタパッケージであって、
光コリメーションキャビティを備えた熱可塑性ベース部材を有し、前記光コリメーションキャビティは、前記光コリメーションキャビティ内に存在する液体配合物中に水和シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズを収容するよう寸法決めされており、前記パッケージは、前記光コリメーションキャビティから外方に延びるフランジを更に有し、前記フランジは、前記キャビティ内の前記コンタクトレンズ及び前記液体配合物を密封するよう密封部材を取り付けることができる密封領域を有する、パッケージ。 - 前記光コリメーションキャビティは、底面周囲を備えた湾曲底面と、前記底面周囲から光コリメーションキャビティ周囲を構成する上側周囲キャビティ縁部まで延びている上方に延びたキャビティ側壁面とを有し、前記光コリメーションキャビティ周囲は、前記底面周囲よりも大きい、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記湾曲光コリメーションキャビティ底面は、前記キャビティ内に配置されるべき水和シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズのベースカーブよりも少なくとも200%大きい曲率半径を有する、請求項2記載のパッケージ。

- 前記ベース部材は、前記近位端部領域から前記反対側遠位端部領域までの長さ及び前記第1の側部領域から前記第2の反対側側部領域までの幅を有し、前記光コリメーションキャビティは、前記ベース部材の長さに平行なキャビティ長さを有すると共に前記ベース部材幅に平行なキャビティ幅を有し、前記キャビティ長さは、前記キャビティ幅よりも大きい、請求項5記載のパッケージ。
- 前記光コリメーションキャビティ内に入れられた液体と、前記液体中に完全に浸漬されたシリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズとを更に有する、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記液体は、緩衝生理食塩水である、請求項7記載のパッケージ。
- 前記コンタクトレンズは、毎日使い捨てコンタクトレンズである、請求項7記載のパッケージ。
- 前記液体は、界面活性剤を含む、請求項7記載のパッケージ。
- 前記ベース部材は、射出成形ポリオレフィン材料である、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- レンズパッケージのアレイを形成するよう少なくとも1つの他の同一のパッケージに結合された請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記光コリメーションキャビティは、周囲を有する底壁面及び前記底壁面周囲から前記キャビティから外方に延びるフランジに向かって上方に延びる側壁面により構成され、前記キャビティは、約25mmの最大長さ及び約20mmの最大幅を有し、前記底壁面は、約15mm〜約26mmの曲率半径を有する、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記底壁面は、キャビティ底壁の表面であり、前記キャビティ底壁は、1mm未満の厚さを有する、請求項13記載のパッケージ。
- 前記ベース部材は、人の指でつまむことができる近位端部領域を更に有し、前記近位端部領域は、前記フランジの頂面と連続した第1の表面及び前記第1の表面から延びる複数個の隆起バンプを有する、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記近位端部領域は、数字、文字、図案、及びこれらの組合せから成る群から選択された標識を更に有する、請求項15記載のパッケージ。
- 前記キャビティ内に入っている液体を更に有する、請求項13記載のパッケージ。
- 前記コリメーションキャビティは、底壁面及び前記底壁面から周囲に延びる側壁面を有し、前記底壁面は、前記ベース部材の長さに沿うと共に前記ベース部材の幅に沿って約15mm〜約26mmの曲率半径を有する、請求項1記載のパッケージ。
- 前記曲率半径は、約25mm〜約26mmである、請求項18記載のベース部材。
- 前記キャビティは、約7mmの最大深さを有する、請求項18記載のベース部材。
- 水和コンタクトレンズを検査する方法であって、
コンタクトレンズ用ブリスタパッケージの光コリメーションキャビティ内に存在する液体中に入れられたコンタクトレンズを用意するステップを有し、前記光コリメーションキャビティは、前記キャビティの長さに沿うと共に前記キャビティの幅に沿って約15mm〜約26mmの曲率半径を有する底壁面を備え、
部分的にコリメートされた光を前記光コリメーションキャビティ並びに前記光コリメーションキャビティ内に入れられている液体及びコンタクトレンズ中に差し向けて完全にコリメートされた光を生じさせるステップを有し、
前記完全にコリメートされた光を受け取るカメラを用いて前記コンタクトレンズの明視野像を得るステップを有する、方法。 - 前記方法を複数個のコンタクトレンズパッケージに対して同時に実施する、請求項21記載の方法。
