Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の光電池は、第1の電極、第2の電極、第1および第2の電極の間に配される光活性層、ならびに、光活性層と第1および第2の電極の少なくとも一つの電極の間に配される極性有機層を含む。

Description
ITO基板をアセトンおよびイソプロピルアルコール中でそれぞれ超音波処理し、純粋な窒素ガスを吹き付けて乾燥し、最後に真空で一晩乾燥した。その後、そのITO基板を5分間UV/オゾン洗浄し、PEDOT:PSSのフィルムをスピンコートしてから150℃で1時間乾燥した。室温に冷却した後、基板に1wt%の光活性層溶液(P3HT:PCBM=1:1)をスピンコートし、コートされた基板をゆっくり乾燥した。続いて、基板を140℃で10分間アニール処理してから冷却した。ポリビニルフェノール(PVP)溶液(メトキシエタノール中0.01wt%)を6000rpmで30秒間スピンコートすることにより極性有機層を形成した。最後に、蒸着法により極性有機層上にカルシウムおよびアルミニウムを順次堆積した。得られた光電池の性能を、太陽シミュレータ(solar simulator)により、25℃、1000W/m2および大気質量(air mass)1.5Gで測定した。その結果を表1に示す。
極性有機層を4000rpmで30秒間スピンコートして形成したことを除いて、実施例1と同じ手順を繰り返した。得られた光電池の性能を測定した。その結果を表1に示す。

実施例4および比較例の試料の付着性をテープテストにより評価した。スコッチブランドの3Mテープを試料上に貼り、一気に剥がした。基板上に残ったアルミニウム電極の量は、相対的な付着強度を示す。実施例4の試料ではテープテストで損傷がなく、一方、比較例の試料ではアルミニウム電極が約83%剥落したことがわかった。電極の付着性の顕著な向上は、極性有機層の極性官能基が生じる界面双極子に起因するものと考えることができる。

前記光活性層と前記第1および第2の電極のうち少なくとも一つの電極の間に配される有機層であって、前記光活性層とは反対の側に、少なくとも一つの前記電極の方を向く極性官能基を有する表面を備えた有機層
を含む光電池。 - 前記表面が水酸基、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、メルカプト基、アミノ基、ハロ基、シアノ基、アルコキシ基、エポキシ基およびスルホニル基のうち少なくとも一つの極性基を含む請求項5記載の光電池。
- 前記有機層が3をこえる高誘電率(k)を有する請求項5記載の光電池。
- 前記有機層が10nm未満の厚さを有する請求項5記載の光電池。
- 追加の有機層をさらに含み、前記光活性層が前記有機層と前記追加の有機層の間に挟まれる請求項6記載の光電池。
