Abstract
【解決手段】インクジェットヘッドを製造するには、まず、ヘッド本体13及びリザーバユニット90を形成する。次に、リザーバユニット90の下面に紫外線硬化性樹脂を塗布する。次に、治具105の平面106aとインク吐出面4aとが当接するように、平面106a上にヘッド本体13を載置する。そして、リザーバユニット90のインクリザーバと流路ユニット4のインク流路とを連通させつつリザーバベースプレート92の長手方向両端部と壁107の上面107aとが対向するように、リザーバユニット90をヘッド本体13及び治具105に対して位置決めし、流路ユニット4の上面上に紫外線硬化性樹脂を介してリザーバユニット90を積層する。次に、リザーバベースプレート92の下面と壁107の上面107aとを当接させた状態で紫外線硬化性樹脂を硬化させる。

Claims (5)
- インク吐出面を有するノズルプレート及び最も長尺な固定用プレートを含む複数のプレートが積層されることによって構成されており、インク供給口から前記インク吐出面に形成されたノズルに至るインク流路を有するインクジェットヘッドの製造方法において、
前記複数のプレートのそれぞれに、前記インク流路を構成する一又は複数の流路孔を形成する流路孔形成工程と、
前記流路孔形成工程で前記流路孔が形成された前記複数のプレートのうち少なくとも1枚のプレート上に接着剤を塗布する塗布工程と、
前記インク吐出面と当接する第1の面を有する支持部と、平面視で前記支持部の外側において前記第1の面と垂直な方向に所定距離突出し、且つ前記第1の面と平行な第2の面が形成された当接部とを含む治具を用いて、前記塗布工程で前記接着剤が塗布された前記プレートを含む複数のプレートを、前記第1の面と前記ノズルプレートの前記インク吐出面とが当接しつつ前記第2の面と前記固定用プレートとが対向するように積層する積層工程と、
前記積層工程で積層された積層体の前記ノズルプレート及び前記固定用プレートを前記第1及び第2の面にそれぞれ当接させた状態で、前記接着剤を硬化させる硬化工程とを備えており、
前記塗布工程において、前記接着剤を、前記固定用プレートから前記ノズルプレートまでにあるいずれか2枚のプレートの間に配置することを特徴とするインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記接着剤が熱硬化性樹脂であり、
前記流路孔形成工程後であって前記積層工程前には、前記流路孔が形成された前記複数のプレートに熱硬化性接着剤を塗布する接着剤塗布工程をさらに備えており、
前記硬化工程において、前記接着剤塗布工程で塗布された前記熱硬化性接着剤及び前記塗布工程で塗布された前記熱硬化性樹脂を硬化させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記インクジェットヘッドが、
複数の前記プレートが互いに積層されて構成されており、共通インク室と、前記共通インク室の出口から一表面に開口する圧力室を経て前記一表面とは反対側の前記インク吐出面の前記ノズルに至る個別インク流路とを含む第1インク流路が形成された流路ユニットと、
複数の前記プレートが互いに積層されて構成されており、前記流路ユニットの前記一表面に固定され、且つ前記インク供給口と前記第1インク流路とを繋ぐ第2インク流路が形成されたリザーバユニットとを有し、
前記固定用プレートが、前記リザーバユニットを構成する前記複数のプレートに含まれており、当該複数のプレートのうち最も厚みが分厚いプレートであり、
前記流路孔形成工程後であって前記積層工程前には、
前記流路孔が形成された前記リザーバユニットを構成する前記複数のプレート及び前記流路孔が形成された前記流路ユニットを構成する前記複数のプレートに熱硬化性接着剤を塗布する接着剤塗布工程と、
前記接着剤塗布工程で前記熱硬化性接着剤が塗布された前記リザーバユニットを構成する前記複数のプレートを、前記第2インク流路が形成されるように積層するリザーバユニット積層工程と、
前記リザーバユニット積層工程で形成された積層体を加圧しつつ加熱して、前記熱硬化性接着剤を硬化させることにより前記リザーバユニットを形成するリザーバユニット形成工程と、
前記接着剤塗布工程で前記熱硬化性接着剤が塗布された前記流路ユニットを構成する前記複数のプレートを、前記第1インク流路が形成されるように積層する流路ユニット積層工程と、
前記流路ユニット積層工程で形成された積層体を加圧しつつ加熱して、前記熱硬化性接着剤を硬化させることにより前記流路ユニットを形成する流路ユニット形成工程とをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記積層工程において、前記リザーバユニット形成工程で形成された前記リザーバユニットを、前記第1インク流路と前記第2インク流路とが互いに連通するように、前記流路ユニット形成工程で形成された前記流路ユニットの前記一表面に積層することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記塗布工程において、前記接着剤を、前記リザーバユニットを構成する前記複数のプレートのうち、前記流路ユニットの前記一表面に積層される前記プレートの前記一表面と対向する面に塗布することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。
