Abstract

Description
本特許出願は、1998年3月20日に出願された米国特許仮出願番号60/078,916を参考として組み込み、それに対する優先権およびその利益を主張する。
本発明は、一般に組織に縫合糸を適用するための外科用器具に関する。さらに具体的には、本発明は、ニードル装備機構およびキャッチ機構に関する。
身体組織の縫合は、多くの外科的手順の時間消費局面である。多くの外科的手順において、外科的修復を必要とする領域を曝露するために、ヒトの身体において大きな開口部を作製することが必要である。全体の体腔を曝露することなく、小さな刺創を通してヒトの身体の特定の領域の観察が可能である有効な器具が存在する。これらの器具は、内視鏡と呼ばれ、接近するのに以前に開放性手術を必要とした身体の領域を検出、診断、および修復するために、特別な外科用器具と組み合わせて使用され得る。

(項目8) 前記ニードルキャリアがU字型屈曲部を備える、項目1に記載の縫合器具。
(項目9) 前記細長本体部材の前記遠位末端に対向して配置されたハンドルおよびアクチュエータをさらに備え、該アクチュエータが前記ニードルキャリアに連結される、項目1に記載の縫合器具。
(項目10) 前記ニードルキャッチが少なくとも2つの可撓性端を備える開口部を規定する、項目1に記載の縫合器具。

ニードルを受け入れ、かつ該細長本体部材内から該細長本体部材外まで可動性の、少なくとも1つの開口部を備えるニードルキャッチと、
該ニードルを保持し、かつ該細長本体部材内から該細長本体部材外まで可動性のニードルキャリア、

(項目13) 前記細長本体部材が2つの屈曲部を備える、項目11に記載の縫合器具。
(項目14) 前記細長本体部材が身体内の遠隔器官または組織にアクセスするように適合された、項目11に記載の縫合器具。
(項目15) 前記細長本体部材が可鍛材料を含む、項目11に記載の縫合器具。
(項目16) 前記ニードルキャリアがニードルホルダーを規定する、項目11に記載の縫合器具。
(項目17) 前記ニードルキャッチが組織穿通のための尖頭を備える、項目11に記載の縫合器具。

(項目21) 前記細長本体部材が、該細長本体部材内から該細長本体部材外まで動いたときに、互いに向かって前記ニードルキャッチおよび前記ニードルキャリアを向ける内部テーパーを有する遠位末端を備える、項目11に記載の縫合器具。
(項目22) ニードルキャッチであって、以下
ニードルを受け入れるための少なくとも1つの開口部と、
組織穿通を可能にする尖頭、
とを備える、ニードルキャッチ。
(項目23) 前記ニードルキャッチが、屈曲部であり、そして凸状表面と凹状表面とを備える、項目22に記載のニードルキャッチ。
(項目24) 前記尖頭が少なくとも2つのテーパー状にされた端によって形成されている、項目22に記載のニードルキャッチ。
(項目25) 前記ニードルキャッチがステンレス鋼を含む、項目22に記載のニードルキャッチ。

遠位部分を備え、かつ該遠位部分内に湾曲したチャネルを規定する、細長本体部材と、

該細長本体部材内に配置され、そして該ニードルの切り欠きを接触させ、そして該湾曲したチャネルからニードルを進めるように、該細長本体部材内に可動性であるプッシャー、

(項目33) 前記細長本体部材が、前記湾曲したチャネルに誘導する開口部と、前記一連のニードルの切り欠きを係合するための該開口部の突出端とをさらに規定する、項目26に記載の縫合器具。
(項目34) 前記一連の切り欠きが、前記湾曲したニードルの凸状表面に配置されている、項目26に記載の縫合器具。

(項目36) 前記第1の係合要素がメス型を備え、かつ前記第2の係合要素が該第1の係合要素と嵌合するためのオス型を備える、項目35に記載の縫合器具。
(項目37) 前記第1の係合要素がオス型を備え、かつ前記第2の係合要素が該第1の係合要素と嵌合するためのメス型を備える、項目35に記載の縫合器具。
(項目38) 前記メス型が一連の切り欠きを備え、かつ前記オス型が一連の隆起を備える、項目36または37に記載の縫合器具。
(項目39) 前記ヘッドは、前記第1の係合要素と前記第2の係合要素とが係合されたときに、所定の位置に固定され、そして該第1の係合要素と該第2の係合要素とがはずれたときに回転可能である、項目35に記載の縫合器具。
(項目40) 前記第1の係合要素が可撓性移動止めを備え、かつ前記第2の係合要素が一連の溝状の切り込みを備える、項目35に記載の縫合器具。

Claims (25)

遠位部分を備え、かつ該遠位部分内に湾曲したチャネルを規定する、細長本体部材と、
一連の切り欠きを備える湾曲したニードルであって、該湾曲したニードルは、該湾曲したチャネル内に受け入れられるためである、湾曲したニードルと、

- 前記メス型が一連の切り欠きを備え、かつ前記オス型が一連の隆起を備える、請求項15または16に記載の縫合器具。
- 前記ヘッドは、前記第1の係合要素と前記第2の係合要素とが係合されたときに、所定の位置に固定され、そして該第1の係合要素と該第2の係合要素とがはずれたときに回転可能である、請求項14に記載の縫合器具。
- 前記第1の係合要素が可撓性移動止めを備え、かつ前記第2の係合要素が一連の溝状の切り込みを備える、請求項14に記載の縫合器具。
