Description
ペルフルオロカルボン酸(PFCA)は、フッ素化ポリマー、例えば、PTFE、FEP、PFA、完全フッ素化(過フッ素化)(perfluorinated)エラストマーなどのような過フッ素化ポリマーを製造するために好ましい乳化剤である。特にその塩(例えばアンモニウム塩、APFO)の形態のペルフルオロオクタン酸(PFOA)は、広く使用されている。しかしながら、APFOおよび他のフッ素化界面活性剤、特に過フッ素化界面活性剤は、環境問題を引き起こしている。もう1つの重要な側面は、これらの界面活性剤が高価な材料であるという事実であり、製造過程からのその損失は最小限にされるべきである。今までのところ、これらの乳化剤、特にAPFOは、連鎖移動特性を示さないので不可欠である。従って、PFOAまたはAPFOはそれぞれ、全種類のフッ素化界面活性剤、特にカルボン酸基を有するフッ素化界面活性剤のただ顕著な例である。
Claims (1)
- フルオロポリマー粒子を含む廃水からフッ素化界面活性剤を除去する方法であって、(i)非フッ素化界面活性剤を前記廃水に添加することと、(ii)こうして得られた廃水を吸着剤粒子と接触させて、前記フッ素化界面活性剤の少なくとも一部を前記吸着剤粒子に吸着させることと、(iii)前記廃水と前記吸着剤粒子とを分離することとを含む方法。
