- 入射面の下に、厚さと屈折率を有する上層記録層を有する上層記録スタックと、少なくとも下層記録スタックとを有する光記憶媒体であって、
前記下層記録スタックは、波長を有して前記入射面を通り該光記憶媒体に入り、前記下層記録スタック上に焦点が合わされ、前記上層記録スタック内を透過される放射ビームによって記録又は読出しされ、
前記上層記録層の記録は、該第1の記録層の記録領域と非記録領域との間で光学厚さの偏差をもたらし、前記偏差は、0.03ラムダ乃至0.125ラムダの範囲内にある光記憶媒体。 - 前記上層記録層は、有機染料材料を有する請求項1記載の光記憶媒体。
- 前記上層記録スタックは、薄い金属反射層を有する請求項1記載の光記憶媒体。
- 前記下層記録スタックは、有機染料材料を有する下層記録層と、厚い金属反射層とを有する請求項1記載の光記憶媒体。
- 前記波長は、約655ナノメートルである請求項1記載の光記憶媒体。

- 前記入射面の下に、0.3ミリメートルより大きく1.2ミリメートルより小さい厚さを有する透明基板を有する請求項1記載の光記憶媒体。
- 上層記録層と少なくとも下層記録層を有する光記憶媒体を製造する方法において、
前記上層記録層は、波長を有する集束放射ビームによって記録又は読出しされる方法であって、前記製造方法は、
