Abstract
【解決手段】波長405nm前後の青系ないし青紫系レーザにより記録または再生が行われる複数の記録層を持ち、これらの記録層各々が有機色素を用いた記録膜を含んで構成される。複数の記録層は、情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形する層(図8a)と、情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形しない層(図8b)の、両方の層を有することができる。

Description
この発明の一実施の形態に係る追記型多層光ディスクは、波長405nmでデータの記録再生を行うディスクであるため。L0層、L1層共に波長405nmにおいて光吸収を持つ有機色素材料を用いる。更に、L1層の色素については、波長600nm〜800nmの範囲内のレーザ光を用いたBCA記録ができるように、600nm〜800nmの範囲内にも光吸収を持つようにすることができる。例えば、波長405nm近辺にのみ光吸収を持ったL0用色素(600nm〜800nmの範囲で光吸収が小さいか殆どないグラフA)に対して、600nm〜800nmの範囲内に光吸収を持つ色素を混ぜたもの(グラフD)をL1層用色素とする。
2層HD_DVD−R等の追記型多層光ディスクにおいて、片方の層はマーク記録時に基板樹脂の変形を伴わず(例えば図8a)、もう片方の層は変形を伴う(例えば図8b)ようにする。または、そうなるように、使用する色素および/または紫外線硬化樹脂(フォトポリマー)等の材料を選択する。このようにすることで、L0層の基板101の材料となるポリカーボネート(PC)はそのままであるとしても、L1層として使用できる色素、中間層104として使用できる紫外線硬化樹脂(フォトポリマー)などの各種材料の選択に幅が出来る。
L1層のフォトポリマー(104)の特性を規定することで、追記型2層光ディスクにおいて2つの層(L0および/またはL1)の記録原理をそれぞれ異なるもの(物理形状変化の有り/無し)とする。
Claims (7)
- 波長が450nm以下のレーザにより記録または再生が行われる記録層を複数持ち、前記記録層各々が有機色素を用いた記録膜を含む追記型光ディスクにおいて、
前記複数の記録層が、情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形する層と、情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形しない層を有するように構成された追記型多層光ディスク。 - 前記光ディスクはフォトポリマーにより溝パターンが形成された層を1層以上有し、そのフォトポリマーのガラス転移温度を150度以下若しくは弾性係数を25℃において3000MPa以下若しくは弾性係数を100℃において1500MPa以下として、前記レーザにより情報を記録した際に、そのフォトポリマー上の記録層の記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形するように構成した請求項1に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記光ディスクはフォトポリマーにより溝パターンが形成された層を1層以上有し、そのフォトポリマーのガラス転移温度を150度以上若しくは弾性係数を25℃において3000MPa以上若しくは弾性係数を100℃において1500MPa以上として、前記レーザにより情報を記録した際に、そのフォトポリマー上の記録層の記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形しないように構成した請求項1に記載の光ディスク。
- 波長が450nm以下のレーザにより記録または再生が行われる記録層を複数持ち、前記記録層各々が有機色素を用いた記録膜を含む追記型光ディスクにおいて、
前記複数の記録層が、情報を記録した際に記録マーク部が他の未記録部分よりも反射率が低いHigh−to−Low層と、情報を記録した際に記録マーク部が他の未記録部分よりも反射率が高いLow−to−High層を有するように構成された追記型多層光ディスク。 - 前記High−to−Lowの層は情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形する層であり、前記Low−to−Highの層は情報を記録した際に記録マーク周辺の溝パターンが変形しない層である請求項4に記載の光ディスク。
- 請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の光ディスクを用いる方法において、
変調されたレーザパワーにより前記記録層にオブジェクトデータを記録し、
変調されたレーザパワーにより前記記録層に前記オブジェクトデータの管理情報を記録する記録方法。 - 請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の光ディスクを用いる方法において、
所定波長のレーザにより前記記録層から管理情報を再生し、
前記レーザにより前記記録層から前記管理情報で管理されているオブジェクトデータを再生する再生方法。
