Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の光起電力装置は、対向配置された一対の電極11,12間に、光起電力層としてのp型半導体層13及びn型半導体層14が積層された太陽電池セル10を有する光起電力装置であって、前記p型半導体層13とn型半導体層14との間のpn接合15が受光面16に端辺を有し、かつその受光面16に対し傾斜していることを特徴とする。

Claims (9)
- 対向配置された一対の電極間に、光起電力層としてのp型半導体層及びn型半導体層が積層された太陽電池セルを有する光起電力装置であって、
前記p型半導体層とn型半導体層との間のpn接合が受光面に端辺を有し、かつその受光面に対し傾斜していることを特徴とする光起電力装置。 - 前記pn接合の法線と受光面の法線とのなす角が、30°以上60°以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光起電力装置。
- 前記太陽電池セルは、前記pn接合が相互に平行になる様に、複数直列に積層して設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光起電力装置。
- 前記一対の電極の材質は、前記p型半導体層に接触する電極の仕事関数が、n型半導体層と接触する電極の仕事関数よりも大きくなるように選択されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の光起電力装置。
- 前記p型半導体層及びn型半導体層の少なくとも何れか一方が、有機半導体層であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の光起電力装置。
- 基板上に電極を積層する工程と、
前記電極上にp型半導体層を積層する工程と、
前記p型半導体層上にn型半導体層を積層し、pn接合を形成する工程と、
前記n型半導体層上に他の電極を積層する工程と、
少なくとも前記の各工程により作製された積層体を、その表面に対して切断面が斜めとなる様に切断して受光面を形成する工程とを有することを特徴する光起電力装置の製造方法。 - 基板上に電極を積層する工程と、
前記電極上にn型半導体層を積層する工程と、
前記n型半導体層上にp型半導体層を積層し、pn接合を形成する工程と、
前記p型半導体層上に他の電極を積層する工程と、
少なくとも前記の各工程により作製された積層体を、その表面に対して切断面が斜めとなる様に切断して受光面を形成する工程とを有することを特徴する光起電力装置の製造方法。 - 前記積層体の切断は、pn接合の法線と切断面の法線とのなす角が30°以上60°以下となる様に切断方向を設定して行うことを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の光起電力装置の製造方法。
- 前記積層体の切断は、前記積層体の端面側から行うことを特徴とする請求項6〜8の何れか1項に記載の光起電力装置の製造方法。
