Abstract
【解決手段】 熱可塑性ポリマー及びIR吸収剤を含有するコア層と、熱可塑性ポリマー及び電磁線吸収剤を含有する第一キャップ層とを含んでなる多層シートであって、当該多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第一キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で第一キャップ層の表面をコア層の表面に密着して配置する。

Description
本例は、次の実施例1と併せて、キャップ層にIR吸収剤を配合した場合と対比して、コア層にIR吸収剤を配合したときの利点を実証するために行った。これらの例は、多層シートを太陽光に暴露した時に太陽光がコア層よりも先にキャップ層に接触するように、コア層(IR吸収剤を含有)の表面にキャップ層(UV吸収剤を含有)を設けたときの利点を実証するためにも行った。これらの例では、ポリカーボネート層の上にキャップ層(LaB6(IR吸収剤)とUV吸収剤を配合したポリカーボネートからなる)を設けた3mmの多層シートを、IR吸収剤含有コア層の上にUV吸収剤含有キャップ層を設けた多層シートと対比した。比較例では、IR吸収剤(LaB6)をキャップ層に配合した結果について述べ、後述の実施例1では、IR吸収剤(LaB6)をコア層に配合したときに得られる有益な結果について述べる。
キャップ層とコア層にはいずれも熱可塑性ポリマーとしてポリカーボネートを用いた。ポリカーボネートは重量平均分子量30000g/モルの線状ビスフェノールAポリカーボネートであった。
上述の通り、本実施例はコア層にLaB6を配合したときの効果を示す。表1の試料1に示す量のLaB6をコア層に配合した3層多層シートをUVキャップ層と共押出した。シートは2層のキャップ層と1層のコア層を含む。コア層は2つのキャップ層の間に配置されていた。
本実施例は、多層シートの熱成形が光透過率、太陽因子、遮光係数及びヘイズに及ぼす効果を検討するために行った。LaB6濃度が0.09g/m2と0.18g/m2の2種類の3mmの多層シートを図5に示すデバイス上で熱成形した。Lab色度の測定はCIE Lab DIN 5033に従って行い、太陽光透過率の測定はISO 9050に従って行い、ヘイズ及び光透過率はASTM D1003に従って測定した。図5に示すデバイス上で多層シートを熱成形すると、シートは1.15〜2.4mmの厚さのバラツキを示す。キャップ層の厚さのバラツキは約23〜48μmである。
本実施例は、コア層の厚さが1mmのときのポリカーボネートコア層中のLaB6の好ましい範囲について説明する。様々な量のLaB6と500ppmのIrgaphos 168を含有するポリカーボネート試料を、25mm Werner and Pfleiderer二軸押出機で製造した。1mm平板をEngel 75T装置で射出成形した。
Claims (12)
- 熱可塑性ポリマー及びIR吸収剤を含有するコア層と、熱可塑性ポリマー及び電磁線吸収剤を含有する第一キャップ層とを含んでなる多層シートであって、当該多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第一キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で第一キャップ層の表面をコア層の表面に密着して配置してなる、多層シート。
- さらに、熱可塑性ポリマー及び電磁線吸収剤を含有する第二キャップ層を含み、当該多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第二キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で第二キャップ層をコア層の第一キャップ層との接触面と反対側の表面に密着して配置してなる、請求項1記載のシート。
- IR吸収剤が、ホウ化ランタン(LaB6)、ホウ化プラセオジム(PrB6)、ホウ化ネオジム(NdB6)、ホウ化セリウム(CeB6)、ホウ化ガドリウム(GdB6)、ホウ化テルビウム(TbB6)、ホウ化ジスプロシウム(DyB6)、ホウ化ホルミウム(HoB6)、ホウ化イットリウム(YB6)、ホウ化サマリウム(SmB6)、ホウ化ユウロピウム(EuB6)、ホウ化エルビウム(ErB6)、ホウ化ツリウム(TmB6)、ホウ化イッテルビウム(YbB6)、ホウ化ルテチウム(LuB6)、ホウ化ストロンチウム(SrB6)、ホウ化カルシウム(CaB6)、ホウ化チタン(TiB2)、ホウ化ジルコニウム(ZrB2)、ホウ化ハフニウム(HfB2)、ホウ化バナジウム(VB2)、ホウ化タンタル(TaB2)、ホウ化クロム(CrB及びCrB2)、ホウ化モリブデン(MoB2、Mo2B5及びMoB)、ホウ化タングステン(W2B5)又はこれらのホウ化物を1種以上含む組合せであり、さらに、IR吸収剤が平均粒径200nm以下のナノサイズ粒子であって、コア層の全重量を基準にして0.02〜3000ppmの量で存在する、請求項1記載のシート。
- コア層がさらに熱安定剤を含み、該熱安定剤が、ホスファイト、ホスホナイト、ホスフィン、ヒンダードアミン、ヒドロキシルアミン、フェノール化合物、アクリロイル変性フェノール、ヒドロペルオキシド分解剤、ベンゾフラノン誘導体又はこれらの酸化防止剤を1種以上含む組合せである、請求項1記載のシート。
- 熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアセタール、ポリアクリル、ポリカーボネート、ポリスチレン、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリアリーレート、ポリアリールスルホン、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリフェニレンスルフィド、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリスルホン、ポリイミド、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルケトンケトン、ポリベンゾオキサゾール、ポリオキサジアゾール、ポリベンゾチアジノフェノチアジン、ポリベンゾチアゾール、ポリピラジノキノキサリン、ポリピロメリットイミド、ポリキノキサリン、ポリベンゾイミダゾール、ポリオキシインドール、ポリオキソイソインドリン、ポリジオキソイソインドリン、ポリトリアジン、ポリピリダジン、ポリピペラジン、ポリピリジン、ポリピペリジン、ポリトリアゾール、ポリピラゾール、ポリピロリジン、ポリカルボラン、ポリオキサビシクロノナン、ポリジベンゾフラン、ポリフタリド、ポリアセタール、ポリ酸無水物、ポリビニルエーテル、ポリビニルチオエーテル、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルケトン、ポリハロゲン化ビニル、ポリビニルニトリル、ポリビニルエステル、ポリスルホネート、ポリスルフィド、ポリチオエステル、ポリスルホン、ポリスルホンアミド、ポリ尿素、ポリホスファゼン、ポリシラザン又はこれらの熱可塑性ポリマー1種以上を含有する組合せである、請求項1記載のシート。
- 熱可塑性ポリマーと紫外線吸収剤とを含有する第一キャップ層を熱可塑性ポリマーとIR吸収剤とを含有するコア層の表面に、多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第一キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で配置することを含んでなる多層シートの製造方法。
- コア層を第一キャップ層と同時又は順次に製造する、請求項6記載の製造方法。
- さらに、熱可塑性ポリマーと紫外線吸収剤とを含有する第二キャップ層を、多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第二キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下でコア層の第一キャップ層との接触面と反対側の表面に配置することを含む、請求項6記載の製造方法。
- 熱可塑性ポリマー及びIR吸収剤を含有するコア層と、熱可塑性ポリマー及び紫外線吸収剤を含有する第一キャップ層とを、多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第一キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で共押出することを含む、多層シートの製造方法。
- さらに、第二キャップ層を第一キャップ層及びコア層と、多層シートの成形時に2つのメルトが最初に接する時点で第二キャップ層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度がコア層に用いた熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度の20%以内となる条件下で共押出することを含む、請求項9記載の製造方法。
- さらに、多層シートを積層することを含む、請求項9記載の製造方法。
- 請求項1記載のシートを含む物品。
