Abstract
Description
長さ約2.5〜4.0mm、および直径2.0〜3.0mmのサイズのポリプロピレンポリマー顆粒を次の手順に従って再加熱剤と混合した。先ず、約5〜7kgポリプロピレンポリマーを流動パラフィン(約20ml)とプラスチック袋中で混合した。袋中のポリマーを混転させてポリマー顆粒をオイルの薄膜で被覆した。次に、再加熱剤を袋に加え、混合物を再び混転させた。次に、被覆したポリプロピレンポリマー顆粒を、APV MP2030二軸スクリュー押出機、引き続き4セクション空洞移動ミキサーを備えたボストン・マシュース(Boston Mathews)単軸スクリュー押出機を用いて配合した。得られた配合物を次に射出成形してさらなる試験のためのプラークを形成した。
ポリプロピレン・プラーク貫通加熱温度測定を次の通り行った:
直径百ミリメートル(100mm)および断面厚さ4ミリメートル(4mm)のポリプロピレン・プラークを使用して様々なポリプロピレン組成物について再加熱時間を評価した。再加熱剤を含有するポリマー組成物の各ポリプロピレン・プラークおよび相当する対照組成物の各プラークを、イタリア国ミラノのネグリ・ボッシ(Negri Bossi of Milan Italy)から入手可能なNB90ネグリ・ボッシ90te射出成形装置を用いて標準射出成形法によって作製した。サンプルおよび対照プラークのすべてを、正確に同じ寸法(直径100mmおよび断面厚さ4mm)に作製した。プラークはきれいにされ、表面汚染物質なしであり、平坦な上面および下面を有した。
ブローイング試行のためのプリフォームを、実験室規模の組合せ射出成形・ブローイング機で製造した。プリフォームを典型的なポリプロピレン加工条件で射出成形した−溶融温度は220℃であり、金型温度は15℃であり、サイクル時間は27秒であった。その時本発明らは、特にポリプロピレン用にデザインされた別個の実験室ブローイング機を用いた。このブローイング機は、それぞれが10,000ワット加熱能力を有し、それぞれが強制空気換気装置を備えた2つの加熱オーブンを有した。幾つかの回転するプリフォーム・ホルダーを用いて空隙によって分離された2つのオーブンによってプリフォームを割り出しした。各プリフォームを約60〜80秒で第1オーブンによって割り出しした。次に、プリフォームを空隙によって割り出しして加熱されたプリフォームを約60〜80秒間平衡するにまかせた。次に、プリフォームを約60〜80秒間第2オーブンによって割り出しし、次に、空気中でさらなる10秒間割り出しの後に、それをブローイング・ステーションに送付した。
表1、2および3に明記されるようなポリプロピレン組成物から射出成形したプラークを、IR加熱ランプ(2400°Kでフィリップス製の175ワットランプ・モデルIR−175C−PAR)(例えば、図2Aを参照されたい)により発せられる放射線によって加熱している間ずっと回転させた。赤外線高温計(ミノルタ・ランド(Minolta Land)製のモデル番号サイクロップス(Cyclops)300AF)(図2に示されていない)をIRランプに関してプラークの反対側に置いた。プラークの表面温度を監視し、再加熱の間ずっと記録した。
Claims (31)
- (a)再加熱剤を含有するポリプロピレン組成物からプリフォームを形成する工程と、
(b)前記プリフォームが所望の温度に達する時間が前記再加熱剤なしのポリプロピレン組成物から形成されている等しい寸法の対照プリフォームを所望の温度に再加熱するための時間より少ない、前記プリフォームを所望の温度に再加熱する工程と、
(c)前記再加熱されたプリフォームを射出延伸ブロー成形してボトルを形成する工程と
を含むポリプロピレンボトルの射出延伸成形法であって、
再加熱剤を含有する前記ポリプロピレン組成物が、前記プリフォームを形成する前に顆粒形にある時に、前記再加熱剤の不存在下での顆粒形のポリプロピレン組成物のL*値の少なくとも約80%である、ガードナー(Gardner)色試験によって測定されるL*値を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記再加熱剤が1つまたは複数の金属粒子を含み、かつ、前記金属粒子がアンチモン、チタン、銅、マンガン、鉄およびタングステンの1つまたは複数よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤がカーボンブラック、グラファイトまたは赤外線染料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜100ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、2ppm〜1000ppmの範囲の量でポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜10ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、2ppm〜50ppmの範囲の量でポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が、還元剤による金属化合物のインサイチュー化学的還元によって前記ポリプロピレン組成物内に生成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記金属化合物がアンチモン、チタン、銅、マンガン、鉄およびタングステンの1つまたは複数を含有し、かつ、前記還元剤が有機亜リン酸、無機亜リン酸、タンニン酸、没食子酸、およびピロガル酸、ヒドラジン、亜硫酸塩、錫II塩ならびに水酸化ニッケルの1つまたは複数よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記金属化合物がアンチモントリグリコレートであり、かつ、前記還元剤が次亜リン酸であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜100ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、50ppm〜25,000ppmの範囲の量で前記ポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられてポリプロピレン・マスターバッチを形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。

- (a)再加熱剤を含有するポリプロピレン組成物からシートを形成する工程と、
(b)前記シートが所望の温度に達する時間が前記再加熱剤の不存在下でのポリプロピレン組成物から形成されている等しい寸法の対照シートを所望の温度に再加熱するための時間より少ない、前記シートを所望の温度に再加熱する工程と、
(c)前記再加熱されたシートをポリプロピレン物品へ成形する工程と
を含むことを特徴とするポリプロピレン物品の形成方法。 - 前記再加熱剤が1つまたは複数の金属粒子を含み、かつ、前記金属粒子がアンチモン、チタン、銅、マンガン、鉄およびタングステンの1つまたは複数よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤がカーボンブラック、グラファイトまたは赤外線染料を含むことを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜100ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、2ppm〜1000ppmの範囲の量で前記ポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜10ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、2ppm〜50ppmの範囲の量で前記ポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が還元剤による金属化合物のインサイチュー化学的還元によって前記ポリプロピレン組成物内に生成されることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記金属化合物がアンチモン、チタン、銅、マンガン、鉄およびタングステンの1つまたは複数を含有し、かつ、前記還元剤が有機亜リン酸、無機亜リン酸、タンニン酸、没食子酸、およびピロガル酸、ヒドラジン、亜硫酸塩、錫II塩ならびに水酸化ニッケルの1つまたは複数よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項26に記載の方法。
- 前記金属化合物がアンチモントリグリコレートであり、かつ、前記還元剤が次亜リン酸であることを特徴とする請求項26に記載の方法。
- 前記再加熱剤が10nm〜100ミクロンの範囲のサイズを有する粒子の形で、かつ、50ppm〜25,000ppmの範囲の量で前記ポリプロピレン組成物中へ組み入れられてポリプロピレン・マスターバッチを形成することを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 請求項21に記載の方法に従って製造されることを特徴とする3次元ポリプロピレン物品。
- 請求項21に記載の方法に従って製造されることを特徴とする2次元ポリプロピレン物品。
