Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、特定のポリマー組成物、特にポリエステルポ
リマー組成物より製造された包装材料、特にビンに関す
る。
包装材料として、例えばフィルム、ビン及び他の容器の
形状のポリエステル組成物、特にポリエチレンテレツク
レートもしくはそのコポリマー(以後rPET、と呼ぶ
)を含む組成物の使用は公知である。ビンもしくは他の
容器(以後「ビン」と呼ぶ)が加圧液体、例えば炭酸ド
リンクを含む用途に用いる場合、通常ポリマーチップの
形状の組成物が2段階工程でビン形状に成形される。ま
(5) ず、ビンプレフォームを射出成形し、次に直後もしくは
短時間後、ビンプレフォームを圧縮空気をとる用いビン
の最終形状である金型に吹込成形する。この吹込成形工
程は少なくともビンの選ばれた領域に組成物の二軸配向
をおこし、これによりビンは使用の間の内部圧力からの
変形に耐える。
この工程の第2段階において、プレフォームは通常周囲
温度であり、吹込成形工程では約100℃に加熱しなけ
ればならない。この方法の第2段階での律速段階はこの
「再加熱」工程である。
この再加熱工程で用いられる市販ヒーターの多くは50
0nm〜2000nmの波長を最も強く発する石英赤外
ランプである。PETの固有の吸収はこの範囲の電磁線
に対し低い。この材料にみられるあらゆる吸収は通常懸
濁された外部物質、例えば触媒残留物及び汚染物の結果
であり、この吸収は懸濁された物質により散乱した光を
懸濁された物質が示す固有の吸収の組み合せである。従
って、PET組成物の再加熱の速度は組成物がいかにき
れいであるかにかなり依存しており、汚染物の存在の(
6) ため比較的高い曇り度しヘルを有する汚れた組成物はき
れいな組成物より速く再加熱される。ある用途に対し、
組成物は例えば緑もしくは茶に着色するため顔料を含ん
でよ(、これば組成物の再加熱時間の低下に大いに寄与
する。しかし、多くの用途に対し、曇り度が最小である
非着色、すなわち非着色及び非染色組成物が必要である
。この状況において、組成物の再加熱時間を十分に低下
させるに必要な汚染物のレベルは許容できない曇り度し
ヘルを有する組成物となってしまう。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1、ポリマーの再加熱時間がその量の粒子を含まないポ
    リマーの再加熱時間より短かいような量の、500nm
    〜2000nmの波長領域の電磁線を本質的に吸収する
    、金属粒子を含むポリマーを含む熱可塑性ポリマー組成
    物を含む包装材料。 2、ビンの形状の、請求項1記載の包装材料。 3、ビンが吹込成形したビンである、請求項2記載の包
    装材料 4、ビンが押出吹込成形したビンである、請求項3記載
    の包装材料 5、射出成形したビンプレフォームの形状の、請求項1
    記載の包装材料。 6、ポリマーが少なくとも70モル%のエチレンテレフ
    タレート残基を含み、所望によりさらにエチレンイソフ
    タレート、エチレンナフタレート、エトキシエチレンテ
    レフタレート、エトキシエチレンイソフタレート又はエ
    トキシエチレンナフタレートより得られる残基を含むポ
    リエステルである、請求項1〜5のいずれか記載の包装
    材料。 7、金属が、ポリマーの重量を基準として3〜300p
    pmの量の1種以上のアンチモン、錫、銅、銀、金、砒
    素、カドミウム、水銀、鉛、パラジウム及び白金である
    、請求項1〜6のいずれか記載の包装材料。 8、金属がポリマーの重量を基準として10〜100p
    pmの量のアンチモンである、請求項7記載の包装材料
    。 9、ポリマーの再加熱時間がその量の粒子を含まないポ
    リマーの再加熱時間より短かいような量の、500nm
    〜2000nmの波長領域の電磁線を本質的に吸収する
    、金属粒子を含むポリマーを含む熱可塑性ポリマー組成
    物の製造方法であって、ポリマー内に還元可能な金属化
    合物の微粒子及びこの化合物を金属に還元できる還元剤
    を混入し金属化合物と還元剤を反応させ金属の微粒子を
    発生させることを含む方法。 10、ポリマーの再加熱時間がその量の粒子を含まない
    ポリマーの再加熱時間より短かいような量の、500n
    m〜2000nmの波長領域の電磁線を本質的に吸収す
    る、金属粒子を含むポリマーを含む熱可塑性ポリマー組
    成物を含む包装材料の製造方法であって、ポリマー内に
    還元可能な金属化合物の微粒子及びこの化合物を金属に
    還元できる還元剤を混入し、金属化合物と還元剤を反応
    させ金属の微粒子を発生させ、ポリマー組成物より包装
    材料を形成することを含む方法。 11、吹込成形ビンプレフォームの製造方法であって、
    熱可塑性ポリマー内に還元可能な金属化合物の微粒子及
    びこの化合物を金属に還元できる還元剤を混入し、金属
    化合物と還元剤を反応させ金属の微粒子(これはポリマ
    ーの再加熱時間がその量の粒子を含まないポリマーの再
    加熱時間より短かいような量の、500nm〜2000
    nmの波長領域の電磁線を本質的に吸収する)を発生さ
    せ、ポリマー組成物よりビンプレフォームを射出成形す
    ることを含む方法。 12、ビンの製造方法であって、熱可塑性ポリマー内に
    還元可能な金属化合物の微粒子及びこの化合物を金属に
    還元できる還元剤を混入し、金属化合物と還元剤を反応
    させ金属の微粒子(これはポリマーの再加熱時間がその
    量の粒子を含まないポリマーの再加熱時間より短かいよ
    うな量の、500nm〜2000nmの波長領域の電磁
    線を本質的に吸収する)を発生させ、ポリマー組成物よ
    りビンプレフォームを射出成形し、ビンプレフォームを
    再加熱し、この再加熱したプレフォームよりビンを吹込
    成形することを含む方法。 13、ビンの吹込成形前又は同時にプレフォームを延伸
    する工程を含む、請求項12記載の方法。 14、ポリマーが少なくとも70モル%のエチレンテレ
    フタレート残基を含み、所望によりさらにエチレンイソ
    フタレート、エチレンナフタレート、エトキシエチレン
    テレフタレート、エトキシエチレンイソフタレート又は
    エトキシエチレンナフタレートより得られる残基を含む
    ポリエステルである、請求項9〜13のいずれか記載の
    方法。 15、還元可能な金属化合物の粒子及び還元剤がポリマ
    ーの合成の一部としてポリマー内に混入され、金属粒子
    を形成する反応の少なくとも一部がポリマーの合成と同
    時に起こる、請求項9〜14のいずれか記載の方法。 16、還元可能な金属化合物が酸化アンチモン(III)
    であり、還元剤が燐(III)化合物である、請求項9〜
    15のいずれか記載の方法。
