Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 複数のコンピュータシステム(212)を収容するように構成された部屋(210)を冷却する方法(300)であって、
直列に配置され、かつ、前記部屋から空気を受け取り、前記部屋へ空気を送出するように構成された複数の蒸発器ユニット(222)を設けることと、
前記複数の蒸発器ユニット内で前記空気を冷却するように動作可能である冷媒を、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットに供給することと、
前記部屋内の1つまたは複数の場所の温度を検知する(335)ことと、
前記1つまたは複数の場所で前記検知した温度に応じて前記空気の温度を制御する(345〜412)ことと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記冷媒の温度を操作するように構成された冷却システム(224)を設けることをさらに含み、前記制御することは、前記冷却システムの出力を変える(385〜412)ことで前記冷媒の温度を制御し、それによって、前記空気の温度を制御することであり、前記冷却システムは、圧縮機(250)、および、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットを通る前記冷媒の流れを調節するように構成された少なくとも1つの弁(254)を有する冷却ループを備え、前記冷媒の温度を制御することは、前記圧縮機の動作を制御する(406〜412)ことを含み、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットは、前記空気の送出を行うように構成された少なくとも1つのファン(230)を備え、前記制御することは、前記部屋への前記空気の送出を制御するように前記ファンの出力を変える(350、365)ことであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記部屋内の1つまたは複数の場所の前記温度が、所定の範囲内にあるかどうかを判断する(340)ことと、
前記部屋内の1つまたは複数の場所の前記温度が、前記所定の範囲外にあることに応答して、前記温度が、最小設定点温度以下であるかどうかを判断する(345)こととをさらに含み、
前記制御することは、
前記1つまたは複数の場所の前記温度が、前記最小設定点温度以下であることに応答して、前記空気の送出を減少させる(350)ことと、
前記温度が、前記最小設定点温度を超え、かつ、前記所定の範囲外であることに応答して、前記部屋への前記空気の送出を増加させる(365)ことと、
のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記部屋内の1つまたは複数の場所において再び温度を検知する(355、370)ことと、
前記減少させることおよび増加させることがそれらの所望の効果を生じたかどうかを記録する(380)ことと、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記部屋内の1つまたは複数の場所の前記温度が、前記所定の範囲外にあることに応答して、前記冷媒の温度を変える(406〜412)ことをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の蒸発器ユニットの概ね下流の位置において、前記冷媒の下流温度を検知する(310)ことと、
前記下流温度が、所定の過熱温度範囲外であることに応答して、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットを通る前記冷媒の流量を変更する(325、330)ことと、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。 - 前記部屋内の前記1つまたは複数の場所の前記温度が、所定の温度範囲外にあることに応答して、前記圧縮機の速度を変更する(408、412)ことをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 直列に配置され、かつ、冷媒ライン(228)を通して冷媒を受け取り、空気を受け取るように構成された複数の蒸発器ユニット(222)であって、前記空気は、前記冷媒を使用した熱伝達を通して冷却され、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットは、前記空気を前記複数の蒸発器ユニットから流出させるように構成された少なくとも1つのファン(230)を有する、複数の蒸発器ユニットと、
前記複数の蒸発器ユニットへの前記冷媒の供給量を制御するように動作可能で、前記少なくとも1つのファンの速度を制御するように動作可能な蒸発器コントローラ(286)と、
前記冷媒を冷却する冷却システム(224)と、
前記冷却システムを動作させることで前記冷媒の温度を変えるように構成された冷却システムコントローラ(292)と、
を備えることを特徴とする、複数のコンピュータシステムを収容する部屋を冷却するシステム。 - 前記冷媒ラインを通る前記冷媒の質量流量を変える可変速度圧縮機(250)をさらに備え、
前記冷却システムコントローラは、前記可変速度圧縮機を制御するように構成され、
前記複数の蒸発器ユニットの、概ね上流の前記冷媒ラインに沿って配置された、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットを通る前記冷媒の流れを調節するように構成された少なくとも1つの弁(254)をさらに備え、
前記冷却システムコントローラは、前記少なくとも1つの弁を通る前記冷媒の質量流量を制御するように動作可能である、
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の複数のコンピュータシステムを収容する部屋を冷却するシステム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの弁は、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットの上流の弁(254)によって構成され、前記弁は、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットを出る前記冷媒の過熱を検出するセンサに接続され、前記弁は、前記検出された過熱に基づいて前記複数の蒸発器ユニットを通る前記冷媒の質量流量を変えるように動作可能であり、それによって、前記複数の蒸発器ユニットで生じる冷媒過熱量を制御することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の複数のコンピュータシステムを収容する部屋を冷却するシステム。
