Abstract
長期間に亘って車輪の回転速度検出の信頼性を維持させた回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
センサホルダ16が、外方部材5の端部に外嵌された嵌合部17aと、この嵌合部17aから径方向内方に延びる鍔部17bと、この鍔部17bから軸方向に延びる底部17cとからなる鋼板製のカバー17と、底部17cに結合され、回転速度センサ19が包埋された保持部18とからなり、カバー17における嵌合部17aの先端部に径方向外方に延びる係止片27が形成されると共に、ナックルNの内周に段差部28が形成され、この段差部28に係止部27を係合させて外方部材5に対してカバー17が軸方向に移動するのを防止した。これにより、外方部材5に大きな荷重が負荷され、繰り返し楕円形状に変形しても、カバー17は外方部材5に対して移動することはない。

図1は、本発明に係る回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、図1の要部拡大図、図3は、本発明に係るセンサホルダの変形例を示す要部断面図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウトボード側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインボード側(図面右側)という。

Claims (5)
- 外周にナックルに取り付けるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された内輪とからなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材および前記外方部材のそれぞれの転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
前記外方部材の端部に装着され、回転速度センサを有するセンサホルダと、
前記内輪に外嵌され、前記回転速度センサに所定のエアギャップを介して軸方向に対向配置された磁気エンコーダとを備えた回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置において、
前記センサホルダが、前記外方部材のインボード側の端部に外嵌された嵌合部と、この嵌合部から径方向内方に延びる鍔部と、この鍔部から軸方向に延びる底部とからなる鋼板製のカバーと、このカバーの底部に結合され、前記回転速度センサが包埋された合成樹脂製の保持部とを備え、前記カバーにおける嵌合部の先端部に径方向外方に延びる係止片が形成されると共に、この係止片を前記ナックルに係合させて前記外方部材に対して前記カバーが軸方向に移動するのを防止したことを特徴とする回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記カバーの嵌合部が前記外方部材の端部から前記車体取付フランジの側面に亙って外嵌されている請求項1に記載の回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記係止片とナックルとの軸方向すきまが、前記回転速度センサの検出可能なエアギャップ内に収まるように設定されている請求項1または2に記載の回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記係止片に弾性部材が一体に加硫接着され、前記ナックルに弾性接触している請求項1または2に記載の回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記カバーが非磁性体の鋼板で形成されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置。
