Abstract

【課題】検出部の密封性を高めて異物が侵入するのを防止すると共に、検出精度を高めて長期間に亘って信頼性を維持させた回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置を提供する。 【解決手段】センサホルダ10を構成するカバー26が、耐食性を有する非磁性体の鋼板からなり、外方部材5の端部に外嵌される円筒状の嵌合部11aと、これから径方向内方に延びる鍔部11bと、さらに径方向内方に延びる底部11cとからなると共に、この底部11cの内縁から内輪2方向に延長させて湾曲部26aが形成され、この湾曲部26aの内径が内輪2の外径よりも小径に形成されて内輪2との間に所定の軸方向すきまを有するラビリンスシール27が構成され、この軸方向すきまが0.5~2.0mmの範囲に設定されているので、エンコーダ16に外部から小石等が直接衝突して破損するのを防止し、検出部の密封性を高めることができる。
