Abstract
【解決手段】多数のLED素子が直列で連結されたLEDアレイ20に電源を静電圧レギュレータ21aで変圧してPWMパルス形態の電源を提供しながら、PWMディミング部25を介して静電圧レギュレータのオン/オフ周期を調整しPWMパルスのデューティー比を調整し、フィードバック制御部23及びアナログディミング部24を介してLEDアレイで検出された駆動電流のレベルを調整して前記静電圧レギュレータでフィードバックさせることにより、PWMパルスの振幅を調整する。

Description
前記抵抗(RsまたはRf)値を低くすると、LEDアレイ(20)の順方向駆動電流の振幅が高くなり、前記抵抗(RsまたはRf)値を高くすると逆にLEDアレイ(20)の順方向駆動電流の振幅が低くなる。

Claims (9)
- 複数のLED素子が直列で連結されたアレイを駆動させるLEDアレイ駆動装置において、
前記LEDアレイに設定された周波数のPWM駆動電源を提供し、該LEDアレイの順方向駆動電流に対応するフィードバック信号に応じて順方向駆動電流が一定になるようにPWM駆動電源の大きさを調整するPWM駆動部;
前記PWM駆動部によって駆動するLEDアレイに流れる順方向駆動電流を設定された範囲の電圧信号で出力する電流センシング部;
前記LEDアレイに流れる順方向駆動電流をフィードバック信号に変換して前記PWM駆動部に提供するフィードバック制御部;
アナログディミング信号に応じて前記フィードバック制御部からPWM駆動部に提供されるフィードバック信号のレベルを調整するアナログディミング部;
PWMディミング信号に応じて前記PWM駆動部から提供されるPWM駆動信号のデューティー比を調節する前記PWMディミング部を含むことを特徴とするLEDアレイ駆動装置。 - 前記PWM駆動部は電源(Vcc)を既設定されたレベルの静電圧に変換して出力する静電圧レギュレータ(21a);
前記静電圧レギュレータ(21a)の出力端(Vout)とLEDアレイ(20)のアノード端を連結するインダクター(L21);
前記LEDアレイ(20)のカソード端と接地の間に具備される電流センシング用抵抗(Rs);
前記静電圧レギュレータ(21a)の出力端(Vout)と接地の間に逆方向で連結されるピンダイオード(D21);
前記静電圧レギュレータ(21a)の電源(Vcc)入力端と接地の間に具備されるキャパシター(C21)を含んで成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。 - 前記静電圧レギュレータ(21a)は、変圧される電源(Vcc)を入力に受ける電源入力端(Vcc)と、レギュレータ(21a)の動作をオン/オフさせるオン/オフ選択端(On/Off)、静電圧レギュレータの出力電圧を調整するフィードバック信号が入力されるフィードバック端(F/B)、レギュレータされた出力電圧が出力される出力端(Vout)、接地端(GND)で設定された5個の入出力ピンを具備した強圧あるいは昇圧タイプの静電圧スイッチングレギュレータICであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。
- 前記フィードバック制御部は、前記LEDアレイのカソード端に連結された抵抗(Rs)にかかった駆動電圧(Vs)を非反転増幅させる第1演算増幅器(OP1)と、前記第1演算増幅器(OP1)の反転端子と出力端の間に並列で連結される抵抗(Rf)及びキャパシター(C22)と、前記第1演算増幅器(OP1)の反転端を接地させる抵抗(R23)と、前記第1演算増幅器(OP1)の出力を抵抗(R24)を介して非反転端で入力を受け増幅した後、前記静電圧レギュレーター(21a)のフィードバック端(F/B)に印加する第2演算増幅器(OP2)と、前記第2演算増幅器(OP2)の反転端と接地の間に連結された抵抗(R25)と、前記第2演算増幅器(OP2)の反転端と出力の間に連結される抵抗(R26)を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。
- 前記電流センシング部は、前記抵抗(Rs)に非反転端が連結される第3演算増幅器(OP3)と、前記第3演算増幅器(OP3)の反転端子と連結される抵抗(R21、R22)からなり、前記第3演算増幅器(OP3)の出力電圧を電流センシング信号で出力することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。
- 前記アナルログディミング部は、アナログディミング信号(Va)を非反転増幅する第4演算増幅器(OP4)と、前記第4演算増幅器(OP4)の出力端を抵抗(R27)を介して前記フィードバック制御部の第2演算増幅器(OP2)の非反転入力端に連結する抵抗(R28)と、前記抵抗(R28)を接地させる抵抗(R29)からなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。
- 前記PWMディミング部は、PWMディミング信号(Vp)が印加されるフォトダイオード(PD)と前記静電圧レギュレータ(21a)のオン/オフ入力端(On/Off)と接地の間に具備される光トランジスター(Q)からなるフォトカプラ(25a)と、前記電源端(Vcc)と接地の間に直列で連結され、その接点が前記フォトカプラ(25a)の光トランジスター(Q)のコレクター端に連結される二つの抵抗(R30、R31)からなり、前記PWMディミング信号(Vp)に応じて静電圧レギュレーター(21a)をオン/オフさせることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。
- 前記装置は、前記LEDアレイの順方向電流(forward current)と順方向電圧(forward voltage)を入力受けリモートコントローラーに伝達し、リモートコントローラーの指示に従って前記アナログディミング部(24)及びPWMディミング部(25)にアナログディミング信号及びPWMディミング信号を提供するローカルコントローラー;及び
前記ローカルコントローラーから伝達されるLEDアレイの順方向電流及び順方向電圧をモニターリングして使用者に提供し、使用者からアナログディミング制御値とPWMデューティー比を入力受け前記ローカルコントローラーに提供するリモートコントローラーをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLEDアレイ駆動装置。 - 第1緑色LED、青色LED、赤色LED、第2緑色LEDが設定された手順で交互に繰り返しながら一列に配置され、同類のLED群別に直列連結されており、バックライト内のそれぞれの位置に配置される複数のLEDアレイ;
前記LEDアレイ別に、そしてLEDアレイ内にそれぞれ直列連結された同類のLED別にそれぞれ連結されて、指示されたアナログディミング信号及びPWMディミング信号に応じて該LEDに設定されたデューティー比及び振幅を有するPWM駆動電源を提供し、これにLEDに流れる順方向駆動電流及び電圧を検出する複数のLEDアレイ駆動回路;
前記複数のLEDアレイによって照明されたバックライトの位置別輝度と波長帯域を検出するカラーセンサー;
前記複数のLEDアレイ駆動回路からそれぞれ駆動電流及び電圧センシング信号を伝達受けてリモートコントローラーに提供し、LEDアレイ別、そして同一LED種類別に前記リモートコントローラーから提供されたデューティー値及びアナルログディミング値と前記カラーセンサーから検出された輝度を比し設定された輝度を表すよう該LEDアレイ駆動回路でアナログディミング信号及びPWMディミング信号を提供するローカルコントローラー;及び
前記ローカルコントローラーから伝達されたLEDアレイ別LED素子別駆動電流及び電圧センシング信号を入力受けて使用者モニターリングを提供し、使用者から各チャンネル別、LED別にアナログディミング値及びデューティー値を入力受けて前記ローカルコントローラーに提供するリモートコントローラーからなるバックライト駆動装置。
