Abstract
【解決手段】複数の取出し口(68、70)は、複数の電源装置(114)に接続されている。追加の取出し口が使われる時、本発明は、取出し口によって取り出されている電力の量を測定する。測定された電力の量が利用できる電力の最大量より小さかった場合、取出し口(68、70)は、可能化される。測定された電力の量が利用できる電力の最大量より大きかった場合、現在使われていない追加の取出し口は、非可能化される。

Description
各電力装置14a、...14nは、それぞれ電子装置32a、...32nおよび33a、...33nに電力を提供する。追加の各電力装置は、電子装置の接続に対する別の場所を提供する。さらに、本発明の1つの好適な実施形態は、各電力装置に付加される2つ以上の電子装置を含む。各電力装置14に付加される電子装置の数は、単純に設計選択の問題である。
1つの好適な実施形態においては、取出し口68および70は、電力が利用できるかどうかを示すディスプレイ112を含む。ディスプレイ112は、信号線114を経由して電力利用可能信号線28aに接続されている。ディスプレイ112は、たとえば、LEDなどのよく知られた任意のディスプレイ・デバイスによって実装することができる。
ラップトップ・コンピュータ、ゲーム・システムなどの電子装置に電力を供給して欲しいユーザは、プラグ・コネクタをプラグ108に挿入し、信号線110を経由してスイッチ106を動作させる。スイッチ106は、電力要求信号線88上で電力可能化回路100に対して電力要求を送信する。電力可能化回路100は、信号線104を経由して外部回路が接続を可能化されたかどうかを判定する。ユーザは、有効なクレジット・カードをクレジット・カード・リーダに挿入するが、有効なクレジット・カード番号を入力するよう要求される可能性がある。それによって外部可能化回路がトランザクションを有効化し、信号線104で可能化信号を電力可能化回路100に対して送る。
Claims (9)
- 負荷分配および管理システムであって、
(a) 電力を分配するために電力を受け取るようにされ、追加の電力が利用可能かどうかを示す電力分配回路(12)と、
(b) 追加の電力が利用可能である時に少なくとも1つの電力の取出し口(68)に電力を提供するために電力分配回路(12)に接続される少なくとも1つの電力装置(14)とを含むことを特徴とする前記システム。 - 請求項1記載のシステムにおいて、前記電力分配回路は、
(a) 電力を受け取る電力入力(18、20)と、
(b) 少なくとも1つの電力装置(34)によって取り出される電力量を検出するために電力装置(18、20)と少なくとも1つの電力装置(34)との間に接続される電力検出回路(34)と、
(c) 少なくとも1つの電力装置(14)のそれぞれによって取り出される電力の合計量を求めるために、それぞれの電力検出回路(34)に接続される合計電力検出回路(38)と、
(d) 利用可能電力の最大量を提供する最大電力利用回路(40)と、
(e) 電力の合計量と電力の最大量とを比較し、追加の電力が利用可能かどうかを示すために電力検出回路(38)と最大電力利用可能回路(40)とに接続されるコンパレータ(38)とを含むことを特徴とする前記システム。 - 請求項1記載のシステムにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの電力装置は、
(a) 電力分配回路(12)に接続される少なくとも1つの電力コンパレータ(60)と、
(b) 少なくとも1つの電力変換器(60)のそれぞれに対して、各電力の取出し口(68)および電力分配回路(12)に接続され、追加の電力が利用可能時に電力要求信号(88)に応答して少なくとも1つの電力変換器(60)のそれぞれを動作させる制御回路(64)とを特徴とし、
電力取出し口(60)は、
(a) 電力要求信号を発生する制御回路(64)のそれぞれに接続される電力要求回路(106)と、
(b) 電力を電子装置(32)に供給するために少なくとも1つの電力コンパレータ(60)のそれぞれに接続されるコネクタ(108)とをさらに含むことを特徴とする前記システム。 - 電力の制限されている電源からの電力を管理および分配する方法であって、
複数の取出し口(60)を提供するステップと、
複数の取出し口(60)によって取り出される電力量を測定するステップと、
測定された電力が利用可能な電力の最大量より小さい場合に複数の取出し口を可能化するステップと、
測定された電力量が利用できる電力の最大量より大きい場合に複数の取出し口の可能化を禁止するステップとを含むことを特徴とする前記方法。 - 電力分配システムであって、
電源(16)と、
電源(16)から電力を受け取る複数の出力回路(14)と、
電力分配回路(12)とを含み、
電力分配回路(12)は、
電力分配システムにおける瞬時合計負荷を連続的に監視する複数の電力検出回路(34)であって、複数の電力検出回路(34)の各々が電源(16)に結合され、電力の一部分を連続的に受け取り検出する複数の電力検出回路(34)と、
複数の電力検出回路(34)に結合され、電源(16)から取り出される瞬時電力の合計量を集計し合計を所定の最大電力レベルと比較する電力コンパレータ(38)と、
複数の電力利用回路(36)であって、それぞれが複数の電力検出回路(34)の対応する1つおよび電力コンパレータ(38)に結合され、複数の出力回路(14)のうちの関連付けられた1つに供給する利用可能電力量を示す個々の出力信号(28)を提供する電力利用回路と、
電力コンパレータ(38)に結合され、電力コンパレータ(38)に対する制御入力として所定の最大電力レベルを提供する最大負荷回路とを含み、
複数の出力回路(14)は、複数の電力利用回路(36)の対応する1つおよび複数の電力検出回路(34)の対応する1つに個別に結合され、複数の出力回路(14)は、所定の最大電力レベルが超過していないことを示す複数の電力利用回路(36)のうちの対応する1つによって可能化されることを特徴とする電力分配システム。 - 請求項5記載の電力分配システムにおいて、前記電力分配回路(12)は、
状態の指示情報を受け取るために複数の出力回路(14)のそれぞれに直接かつ連続的に接続されるマスター・テスト回路(42)をさらに含む電力分配システム。 - 電力分配システムであって、
電力を利用している装置(32)の個々の装置に対して電力を供給する複数の出力回路(14)と、
複数の出力回路(14)の1つに電力を供給する電力手段(16)と、
電力手段(16)に結合され瞬時的な合計負荷を連続的に監視し、所定の最大電力レベルを超過するまで複数の出力回路(14)の選択されているものに電力を提供する電力分配回路(12)とを含む電力分配システム。 - 請求項7記載の電力分配システムにおいて、前記電力分配回路(12)は、
所定の最大電力レベルが超過していないか電力手段(16)が不十分であるかのいずれでもない限り、複数の出力回路(14)の1つに電力利用信号(28)を提供する電力利用回路(36)をさらに含む電力分配システム。 - 電力分配の方法であって、
瞬時合計負荷を連続的に監視するステップと、
瞬時に取り出されている電力の合計量を集計するステップと、
取り出された瞬時電力の合計量を所定の最大電力レベルと比較するステップと、
利用可能な電力の量を示す個別の出力信号を提供するステップと、
利用可能な電力が十分にある時は常に出力回路(14)を可能化するステップとを含む方法。
