Abstract
【解決手段】電子放出素子アセンブリ、並びに電子ビームを発生する方法を提供する。電子放出素子アセンブリは、光を放出するように構成された光源(80)を含む。電子放出素子アセンブリはさらに、電子放出素子(74)に結合されて動作する光応答素子(104)を含む。光応答素子(104)は、電子放出素子(74)に、光の受光に応答して電子を放出させる。最後に、電子放出素子アセンブリは、電子放出素子(74)から放出された電子を受領するアノード(77)を含む。

Claims (11)
- 光を放出するように構成された光源(80)と、
電子放出素子(74)に結合されて動作し、該電子放出素子(74)に、前記光の受光に応答して電子を放出させる光応答素子(104)と、
前記電子放出素子(74)から前記放出された電子を受領するアノード(77)と、
を備えた電子放出素子アセンブリ。 - 前記アノード(77)は、前記電子放出素子(74)からの前記放出された電子の受領に応答してX線を放出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 前記光源(80)からの光の透過を許すように構成された受光透過窓(68)を有する筐体(60)をさらに含んでおり、前記光応答素子(104)及び前記アノード(77)は前記真空筐体(60)に配設されており、前記光応答素子(104)は前記光源(80)からの前記光を受光するように配置されており、前記真空筐体(60)は当該筐体(60)の壁面を貫通して延在する開口に配設されているX線透過窓(76)をさらに含んでおり、前記アノード(77)は、前記電子放出素子からの前記放出された電子の受領に応答して前記X線透過窓(76)を介してX線を放出する、
請求項2に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。 - 前記電子放出素子(74)は電界放出素子アレイを含んでいる、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 前記光源はレーザ(80)を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 前記光源(80)から光を受光して該光を前記光応答素子(104)に向かって反射するように構成された鏡(82)をさらに含んでいる請求項1に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 前記鏡(82)は少なくとも2本の軸を中心として回転することができる、請求項6に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 前記光応答素子(104)はフォトダイオード及び光トランジスタの一方を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子アセンブリ。
- 電子放出素子(74)に結合されて動作する光応答素子(104)に対して光を放出するステップと、
前記光応答素子(104)が前記光を受光するのに応答してアノード(77)に向かって電子を放出するように前記電子放出素子(74)に通電するステップと、
を備えた電子ビームを発生する方法。 - 前記アノード(77)において前記放出された電子を受領するステップと、前記放出された電子の受領に応答して前記アノード(77)においてX線を発生するステップと、をさらに含んでいる請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記光はレーザ光を含んでいる、請求項9に記載の方法。
