Abstract
Description
本発明は、概して、血管内で使用するガイドワイヤに関する。より詳細には、本発明は、血管内で使用する可撓性を調節可能なガイドワイヤに関する。
血管内で使用するガイドワイヤは、治療用器具及び診断用器具を人間の体内の遠隔血管部位へ搬送しやすくするために使用されることが多い。具体的には、血管内で使用するガイドワイヤは、患者の体外における好適な位置から、患者の血管系を介して、患者体内の診断及び/又は治療が求められる目的部位まで進ませるために使用される。ガイドワイヤを用いて目的部位に到達した後に、治療用器具又は診断用器具(例えばカテーテル)にガイドワイヤ上を目的部位まで進ませて、求められる治療処置又は診断処置を行ってもよい。
これらの必要性に対応するために、本発明の一実施例においては、可撓性を調節可能な先端部を備えるガイドワイヤを提供する。一実施例においては、ガイドワイヤは先端側ポリマー部材と熱源とを備える。熱源は、電源により作動させられてもよい。電源が熱源を作動させると、ポリマー部材の温度が上昇し、ガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性が高められる。ポリマー部材をガラス転移温度を有する形状記憶ポリマーで構成し、温度上昇時にガラス転移温度を通過するようにしてもよい。

Claims (39)
- 基端部及び可撓性を備える先端部を有するガイドワイヤシャフトと、
シャフト先端部に配置されるポリマー部材であって、ポリマー部材が、第1の温度においては第1の可撓性を有し、かつ、第2の温度においては第2の可撓性を有し、第1の温度は第2の温度よりも低く、第1の可撓性は第2の可撓性よりも低いことと、
シャフト先端部に配置される熱源であって、熱源からポリマー部材に熱が伝導するために、熱源が作動するとポリマー材料の温度が第1の温度から第2の温度へ上昇し、ガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性が変化することと
からなる可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。 - ポリマー部材が形状記憶ポリマーで構成される請求項1に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 形状記憶ポリマーがガラス転移温度を有し、第1の温度がガラス転移温度よりも低い、請求項2に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 第2の温度がガラス転移温度よりも高い、請求項3に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 熱源が抵抗加熱素子で構成される請求項1に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- シャフト先端部が先端部分を備える請求項5に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 先端部分がポリマー部材と抵抗加熱素子とを備える請求項6に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ポリマー部材が管で構成される請求項7に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 抵抗加熱素子がコイル状をなすワイヤで構成される請求項8に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- コイル状をなすワイヤに対して連結され、かつ、同ワイヤから基端側へ延びる1つ以上のリード線をさらに備える請求項9に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ポリマーからなる管がコイル状をなすワイヤ上に配置される請求項10に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- コアワイヤが先端部分を貫通して延びる請求項11に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ガイドワイヤシャフトの基端部がハイポチューブを備える請求項12に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ガイドワイヤシャフトの先端部は、スロットが設けられたハイポチューブを備える請求項13に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- コイル状をなすワイヤは、スロットが設けられたハイポチューブのスロット内に配置される請求項14に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 基端部及び可撓性を有する先端部を備えるガイドワイヤシャフトと、
シャフト先端部に配置されるポリマー部材と、
熱源であって、同熱源がポリマー部材に熱を伝導するため、熱源の作動時にポリマー部材がガイドワイヤシャフトの先端部の可撓性を変化させることと
からなる可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。 - ポリマー部材が形状記憶ポリマーで構成される請求項16に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 熱源の作動により形状記憶ポリマーの温度が変化する請求項17に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 形状記憶ポリマーがガラス転移温度を有し、温度変化はこのガラス転移温度を通過して行われる請求項18に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 形状記憶ポリマーがガラス転移温度を有し、温度変化は溶融温度の近くで行われる請求項18に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 熱源が抵抗加熱素子で構成される請求項16に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- シャフト先端部が先端部分を備える請求項21に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 先端部分がポリマー部材と抵抗加熱素子とを備える請求項22に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ポリマー部材が管で構成される請求項23に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 抵抗加熱素子がコイル状をなすワイヤで構成される請求項24に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- コイル状をなすワイヤに対して連結され、かつ、同ワイヤから基端側へ延びる1つ以上のリード線をさらに備える請求項25に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ポリマーからなる管がコイル状をなすワイヤ上に配置される請求項26に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- コアワイヤが先端部分を貫通して延びる請求項27に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- ガイドワイヤシャフトの基端部がハイポチューブを備える請求項28に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。

- コイル状をなすワイヤは、スロットが設けられたハイポチューブのスロット内に配置される請求項30に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤ。
- 可撓性を有する先端部と、先端側ポリマー部材と、ポリマー部材に熱を伝導する熱源とを備えるガイドワイヤと、
熱源に対して連結される電源であって、電源が熱源を作動させると、ポリマー部材がガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性を変化させることと
からなる可変剛性ガイドワイヤシステム。 - 可撓性を有する先端部を備えるガイドワイヤと、先端側ポリマー部材と、ポリマー部材に熱を伝導する熱源とを準備する工程と、
ガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性を、熱源を作動又は停止させることにより変化させる工程と
からなる可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。 - 可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法であって、
前記可撓性を変化させる工程が、熱源を作動させてガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性を高める工程を含み、
さらに当該使用方法が、患者の血管系を介して目的部位までガイドワイヤを進ませる工程を含む、
請求項33に記載の使用方法。 - 熱源を停止させてガイドワイヤ先端部の可撓性を低下させる工程をさらに含む請求項34に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。
- 器具をガイドワイヤ上において目的部位まで進ませる工程をさらに含む請求項35に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。
- ポリマー部材がガラス転移温度を有する形状記憶ポリマーで構成され、前記可撓性を変化させる工程が、ポリマー部材を溶融温度の近くまで加熱する工程を含む、請求項33に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。
- ポリマー部材がガラス転移温度を有する形状記憶ポリマーで構成され、前記可撓性を変化させる工程が、ポリマー部材をガラス転移温度よりも高くなるように加熱する工程を含む、請求項33に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。
- 熱源が抵抗加熱素子を備え、前記熱源を作動させる工程が、抵抗加熱素子に電気エネルギーを供給する工程を含む、請求項33に記載の可変剛性ガイドワイヤの使用方法。
