Abstract
Description
[発明の要旨]
図1に示すように、この発明の1つの態様は、大きな径のカテーテルが患者の血管に挿入されたときに起きる虚血を少なくするように設計された多管腔カテーテルである。この多管腔カテーテルは、好ましくは、一体的に形成されており、患者の体内への挿入点として1箇所だけ必要とする。多管腔カテーテル10は、少なくとも2つの管腔、即ち、第1管腔12および第2管腔14を備えている。第1管腔12は多管腔カテーテル10の近端部16から第1遠端部18に延伸している。第2管腔14は多管腔カテーテル10の近端部16から第2遠端部20に延伸している。多管腔カテーテル10の管腔12、14は、多くの異なる方法に従って配置される。例えば、2つの管腔は、近端部16側から見ると8の字を形成するように、並列に配置して接合される。別の方法では、単一の円筒形カテーテルハウジングがその中に2以上の並列配置された管腔を備えている。円筒形カテーテルハウジングは、直径方向の隔膜、即ち、円筒の全体にわたって直径方向に延びた壁面を備えて形成されている。同心円の複数の管腔を備えた円筒形ハウジングも考えられる。
Claims (18)
- 1つの挿管を経由して患者の中を通り、血液流を導く多管腔カテーテルであって、前記カテーテルは下記からなっている:
1つの近端部、第1遠端部、第2遠端部を備え、前記第1遠端部は、前記近端部から前記第2遠端部より遠くに延伸しているカテーテルと;
前記第1遠端部と前記近端部の間に延伸している第1管腔と;
前記第2遠端部と前記近端部の間に延伸している第2管腔と;そして
1つの管腔の遠端部に位置し、前記管腔から出る血液流の少なくとも一部を血液流の方向と概ね反対の方向に変換する、指向方向変換装置。 - 前記指向方向変換装置が指向方向変換チップからなっている請求項1に記載の多管腔カテーテル。
- 前記指向方向変換装置がJ型チップからなっている請求項1に記載の多管腔カテーテル。
- 患者の心臓に如何なる部品も接続せず、患者を通って血液の循環を補助する心臓外ポンプシステムであって、前記心臓外ポンプシステムは、
その中を通る少なくも2つの管腔を有し、各管腔が患者の脈管構造に挿入するように設定された1つの遠端部および1つの近端部を備え、前記管腔の少なくとも2つがそれぞれの近端部において流体が流れるように接続された多管腔カテーテルであって、更に、1つの管腔の遠端部に位置し、前記管腔から出る血液流の少なくとも一部を、前記管腔を通る血液流の方向と概ね反対の方向に変換する、指向方向変換装置を備えた多管腔カテーテルと;
1つの管腔の中に固定されて、患者を通ってサブカーディアック流量で血液を送るポンプであって、通常の操作時には平均流量が実質的に健康なときの患者のそれ以下であるポンプとを備え;
前記ポンプは、各管腔の前記近端部が患者の体の外に位置した状態で、血液を患者の脈管構造1つの位置から脈管構造の1つの異なる位置に拍出(ポンプ)するように作動することを特徴とする心臓外ポンプシステム。 - 前記多管腔カテーテルは、更に、前記遠端部から遠くに位置する1つの管腔に少なくとも1つの開口を備えており、前記多管腔カテーテルが患者に挿入されると前記開口が患者の脈管構造内且つ挿入点に近く位置して、前記開口は患者の脈管構造の下流側への血液の潅流を維持または強化し、治療のためにカテーテルが患者に挿入されるときには前記開口が前記脈管構造内に位置することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の心臓外ポンプシステム。
- 前記多管腔カテーテルは、更に、患者の脈管構造内に全体が位置する追加の管腔を備えている、請求項4に記載の心臓外ポンプシステム。
- 前記多管腔カテーテルの少なくとも1つの管腔は、少なくとも1つの他の管腔よりも長い、請求項4に記載の心臓外ポンプシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの管腔の前記遠端部は、傾斜部を形成している、請求項4に記載の心臓外ポンプシステム。
- 前記多管腔カテーテルは、少なくとも1つの遠端部の近傍に位置する少なくとも1つの開口を更に備えている請求項4に記載の心臓外ポンプシステム。
