図1に示すように、この発明の1つの態様は、大きな径のカテーテルが患者の血管に挿入されたときに起きる虚血を少なくするように設計された多管腔カテーテルである。この多管腔カテーテルは、好ましくは、一体的に形成されており、患者の体内への挿入点として1箇所だけ必要とする。多管腔カテーテル10は、少なくとも2つの管腔、即ち、第1管腔12および第2管腔14を備えている。第1管腔12は多管腔カテーテル10の近端部16から第1遠端部18に延伸している。第2管腔14は多管腔カテーテル10の近端部16から第2遠端部20に延伸している。多管腔カテーテル10の管腔12、14は、多くの異なる方法に従って配置される。例えば、2つの管腔は、近端部16側から見ると8の字を形成するように、並列に配置して接合される。別の方法では、単一の円筒形カテーテルハウジングがその中に2以上の並列配置された管腔を備えている。円筒形カテーテルハウジングは、直径方向の隔膜、即ち、円筒の全体にわたって直径方向に延びた壁面を備えて形成されている。同心円の複数の管腔を備えた円筒形ハウジングも考えられる。

Claims (24)
- 患者の体内を通過する血液循環を補助するためのシステムにおいて、
円筒状のハウジング内を貫通している少なくとも2つの管腔を有している前記ハウジングであって、少なくとも2つの前記管腔それぞれが、患者に経皮挿入をするように及び患者と流通するように構成されている遠端部と、近端部とを有している前記ハウジングと、
前記管腔のうち一の管腔内に固定されているように構成されているポンプであって、前記ポンプの通常動作時において、健康な状態にある場合の患者の心臓による流速よりも低い平均流速を有している前記ポンプと、
を備えており、
前記ハウジングが、拡張可能なフレームを備えている折り畳み管腔を有していることを特徴とするシステム。 - 円筒状の前記ハウジングの少なくとも1つの前記管腔が、少なくとも1つの他の管腔より長いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、前記ハウジングの前記遠端部に配置されているJ字状の先端部を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも2つの前記管腔の前記遠端部それぞれが、患者の血管に挿入されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記管腔のうち少なくとも1つの管腔の全体が、患者の血管内に配置されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムの出口が、患者の大動脈内に位置決めされるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、前記システムの前記出口を患者の大動脈アーチ内に位置決めするように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 利用時に、前記ポンプを含んでいる前記システムの遠位部分が、循環系内に配置されており、前記システムの近位部分が、患者の循環系の外側に位置していることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、互いに対して並列に配置されている2つの前記管腔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記管腔のうち一の管腔が、主要な管腔であり、
前記管腔のうち他の管腔が、補助的な管腔であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のシステム。 - 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、前記主要な管腔を中心として対称に配置されている複数の前記補助的な管腔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記ポンプが配設されていない管腔が、液体を遠位方向に拡散させて送り出すように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、第1の管腔を中心として放射状に配置されている複数の管腔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の管腔それぞれが、前記第1の管腔を中心として対称に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の管腔が、円筒状の前記ハウジング内に配置されており、円筒状の前記ハウジングが、前記第1の管腔を囲んでいることを特徴とする請求項13又は14に記載のシステム。
- 円筒状の前記ハウジングが、互いに同軸配置されている2つの管腔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記管腔のうち一の管腔の前記遠端部に配置されている方向変換装置であって、前記管腔の少なくとも一側に配設された複数の出口と、血液流が前記管腔(708)を通じて流れる方向に対して少なくとも部分的に直角な方向に血液流の少なくとも一部分を方向転換させるように、及び前記出口を通じて前記管腔(708)から血液流を出すように構成されている内部流方向転換面と、を備えている前記方向変換装置を有していることを特徴とする請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記管腔のうち一の管腔の前記遠端部が、構造要素によって構成されている複数の開口部を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムが、埋め込まれるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムが、挿管処置を介して取り付けられるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜19のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記管腔内に固定された前記ポンプを有している前記管腔が、
前記ポンプの遠位に配置されている複数の開口部であって、カテーテルのハウジングの遠端部を中心とした周囲に離隔配置されている前記複数の開口部と、
前記ポンプの近位に配置されている複数の開口部であって、血液を患者の脈管構造の下流側に灌流させることを強化及び維持するために、前記ポンプが固定されている前記管腔と患者の脈管構造との間を流通状態にするように構成されている前記複数の開口部と、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜20のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - カテーテルの遠端部を前記開口部の近位に配置された前記カテーテルの一部分に接続する構造部材によって、前記ポンプの遠位に配置された前記開口部が、互いに分離されていることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のシステム。
- 前記ポンプが、患者の体内の一の位置から患者の体内の異なる位置に血液を送り出すように動作することを特徴とする請求項1〜22のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムが、前記管腔のうち一の管腔を通じて患者から血液を抜き出し、前記管腔のうち他の管腔を通じて患者に血液を送るように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜23のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
