Abstract
【解決手段】燃料タンク5内の燃料を第1低圧ポンプ21で加圧し、この加圧された燃料をポート用燃料噴射弁24a〜dに供給する低圧燃料系2と、燃料タンク5内の燃料を第2低圧ポンプ31で加圧し、この加圧された燃料を内燃機関により駆動する高圧ポンプ33でさらに加圧し、このさらに加圧された燃料を筒内用燃料噴射弁36a〜dに供給する高圧燃料系3と、内燃機関の運転状態に応じて少なくとも第1低圧ポンプ21および第2低圧ポンプ31の作動を制御するECU4とを備える。低圧燃料系2と高圧燃料系3とが独立した燃料系であるので、高圧ポンプ33から発生した脈動がポート用燃料噴射弁24a〜dに伝搬することはない。

Claims (8)
- 燃料貯留室内の燃料を第1低圧ポンプで加圧し、第1低圧通路を介して当該加圧された燃料を低圧燃料供給手段に供給する低圧燃料系と、
前記燃料貯留室内の燃料を第2低圧ポンプで加圧し、第2低圧通路を介して当該加圧された燃料を内燃機関により駆動する高圧ポンプでさらに加圧し、当該さらに加圧された燃料を高圧燃料供給手段に供給する高圧燃料系と、
内燃機関の運転状態に応じて少なくとも前記第1低圧ポンプおよび前記第2低圧ポンプの作動を制御するポンプ制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃料供給装置。 - 前記ポンプ制御手段は、
前記低圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、前記第1低圧ポンプを作動させ、前記第2低圧ポンプを非作動とし、
前記高圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、前記第1低圧ポンプを非作動とし、前記第2低圧ポンプを作動させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。 - 燃料貯留室内の燃料を第1低圧ポンプで加圧し、第1低圧通路を介して当該加圧された燃料を低圧燃料供給手段に供給する低圧燃料系と、
前記燃料貯留室内の燃料を第2低圧ポンプで加圧し、第2低圧通路を介して当該加圧された燃料を内燃機関により駆動する高圧ポンプでさらに加圧し、当該さらに加圧された燃料を高圧燃料供給手段に供給する高圧燃料系と、
前記第1低圧通路と前記第2低圧通路とを連通する連通通路と、
内燃機関の運転状態に応じて前記連通通路の開閉を行う開閉手段と、
前記内燃機関の運転状態に応じて少なくとも前記第1低圧ポンプおよび前記第2低圧ポンプの作動を制御するポンプ制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃料供給装置。 - 前記開閉手段は、前記第1低圧通路内の前記加圧された燃料の前記第2低圧通路への流入のみを行う逆止弁であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。
- 前記ポンプ制御手段は、
前記低圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、前記第1低圧ポンプを作動させ、前記第2低圧ポンプを非作動とし、
前記高圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、当該高圧燃料供給手段による当該内燃機関への燃料供給量が所定値以上となると、前記第1低圧ポンプおよび前記第2低圧ポンプを作動させることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。 - 前記開閉手段は、前記ポンプ制御手段により開閉を制御される開閉弁であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。
- 前記ポンプ制御手段は、
前記低圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、前記開閉弁を閉じるとともに、前記第1低圧ポンプを作動させ、前記第2低圧ポンプを非作動とし、
前記高圧燃料供給手段のみにより前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、当該高圧燃料供給手段による当該内燃機関への燃料供給量が所定値以上となると、前記開閉弁を開くとともに、前記第1低圧ポンプおよび前記第2低圧ポンプを作動させ、
前記低圧燃料供給手段および前記高圧燃料供給手段により前記内燃機関に燃料を供給する際には、前記第1低圧ポンプおよび前記第2低圧ポンプを作動させ、当該高圧燃料供給手段による当該内燃機関への燃料供給量が所定値以上となると前記開閉弁を開くことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。 - 前記低圧燃料系の前記第1低圧通路内の圧力が所定圧力以上となると当該第1低圧通路内の燃料を前記燃料貯留室に戻す第1調圧手段と、
前記高圧燃料系の前記第2低圧通路内の圧力が所定圧力以上となると当該第2低圧通路内の燃料を前記燃料貯留室に戻す第2調圧手段と、
をさらに備え、
前記所定圧力は前記第1調圧手段および前記第2調圧手段ともに同一であることを特徴とする請求項3〜7のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の燃料供給装置。
