Abstract
【解決手段】 アルミナイジング組成物は、アルミニウム系粉末と、不活性な熱分解性有機増粘剤と、コロイドシリカ、少なくとも1種の有機樹脂及びこれらの組合せから選択されるバインダーとを含有する。金属基体の内部通路のアルミナイジング方法は、有機系アルミナイジング組成物を内部通路に注入し、前記組成物を適切な条件下で熱処理して、組成物から揮発性成分を除去し、内部通路の表面領域にアルミニウムを拡散させ、かつ熱分解性増粘剤粒子の少なくとも一部を分解し、ついで内部通路から余分な材料をバニシ仕上げする工程を含む。

Description
別の観点では、アルミニウム系粉末はアルミニウムとケイ素の合金を含有する。アルミニウム−ケイ素合金中のケイ素は、部分的に、合金の融点を下げる作用をなし、これにより後述するようにアルミナイジングプロセスを容易にする。ある実施形態では、ケイ素は合金の融点を約610℃より低くするのに十分な量存在する。通常、ケイ素は合金中に、ケイ素とアルミニウムの合計重量に基づいて約1重量%〜約20重量%の範囲のレベルで存在する。別の実施形態では、ケイ素は約10重量%〜約15重量%の範囲のレベルで存在する。
10.3gのシリコーンアルミニウムエナメル(Glyptal86009)、5gの10μmアルミニウム系粉末及び15gのポリ(メチルメタクリレート)ビーズポリマー(直径200μm)を含むスラリーを、そのコンシステンシーがソフトクリーム程度になるまで、混合する。混合物をロートを介してシリンジに重力充填する。混合物を、GTD222ニッケル基超合金製の7FAステージ2ノズルの後縁冷却孔に注入する。乾燥後、ノズルに拡散熱処理を、前掲の米国特許出願第10/633888及び第10/633887号に記載された外部アルミナイド被膜の拡散のための条件と同様の条件下で、行う。この処理中に、ポリ(メチルメタクリレート)ビーズが分解してガスを形成し、そのガスが冷却孔から逃げ出す。後に残されたアルミニウム系粉末は均一に分布し、超合金中に拡散して、拡散アルミナイド被膜を形成する。
5gのグリセロール、15gのLP30コロイドシリカ、10gの20wt%ポリビニルアルコール水溶液、20gの10〜14μmアルミニウム粉末、5gの10μmアルミニウム−ケイ素共融粉末及び2gの200μmポリ(メチルメタクリレート)マイクロビーズを混合して、スラリーを形成する。この混合物を、GTD222ニッケル基超合金製の7FAステージ2ノズルの後縁冷却孔に注入する。乾燥後、ノズルに拡散熱処理を、前掲の米国特許出願第10/633888及び第10/633887号に記載された外部アルミナイド被膜の拡散のための条件と同様の条件下で、行う。この処理中に、ポリ(メチルメタクリレート)ビーズが分解してガスを形成し、そのガスが冷却孔から逃げ出す。後に残されたアルミニウム系粉末は均一に分布し、超合金中に拡散して、拡散アルミナイド被膜を形成する。残留アルミニウム粉末を機械的に除去するか、0.5N水酸化ナトリウムに短時間浸漬することにより除去する。
Claims (10)
- アルミニウム系粉末と、
コロイドシリカ、少なくとも1種の有機樹脂及びこれらの組合せから選択されるバインダーと、
不活性な熱分解性有機増粘剤と
を含有するアルミナイジング組成物。 - 熱分解性増粘剤がポリマービーズを含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- バインダーがコロイドシリカを含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- さらに2個以上のヒドロキシル基を有する有機安定剤少なくとも1種を含む、請求項3記載の組成物。
- バインダーが少なくとも1種の有機樹脂を含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- ニッケル基超合金を含む材料から形成されたタービン部品の内部通路にアルミニウムを供給するスラリー被覆組成物であって、六価クロムを実質的に含まず、コロイドシリカ、少なくとも1種の有機樹脂及びこれらの組合せから選択されるバインダーと、平均粒径が約1〜50μmの範囲にあるアルミニウム−ケイ素合金の粒子と、不活性な有機ポリマー増粘剤ビーズとを含有するスラリー被覆組成物。
- 増粘剤ビーズがポリ(メチルメタクリレート)ビーズを含む、請求項6記載の組成物。
- アルミニウム系粉末と、コロイドシリカ、少なくとも1種の有機樹脂及びこれらの組合せから選択されるバインダーと、不活性な熱分解性有機増粘剤粒子とを含有するアルミナイジング組成物を金属基体の内部通路に注入し、
前記組成物を適切な条件下で熱処理して、組成物から揮発性成分を除去し、内部通路の表面領域にアルミニウムを拡散させ、かつ熱分解性増粘剤粒子の少なくとも一部を分解し、
ついで内部通路から余分な材料をバニシ仕上げする
工程を含む金属基体の内部通路のアルミナイジング方法。 - バニシ仕上げ工程で余分な材料を溶解する、請求項8記載の方法。
- 内部通路に被膜が設けられた金属基体であって、前記被膜が六価クロムを含まず、アルミニウム系粉末と、不活性な熱分解性有機増粘剤と、コロイドシリカ、少なくとも1種の有機樹脂及びこれらの組合せから選択されるバインダーとを含有する、金属基体。
