Abstract
【解決手段】 平均輝度検出部2は、フレームバッファ1に保持された1枚分の画像信号の平均輝度Avを算出する。補正係数決定部4は、LUT保持部5に保持されているLUTを参照することにより、画素の輝度レベルPに対応する補正係数Kpを決定する。補正信号生成部6は、下式に従い、補正信号Cを生成する。ここで、Wlはディスプレイ等の白レベルである。 C=Kp・(Av/Wl)
加算部7は、画素毎の画像信号に、補正信号Cを加算して出力信号を生成する。本発明は、テレビジョン受像機に適用することができる。

Claims (6)
- 画像を構成する画素の輝度の平均値を検出する平均値検出手段と、
前記画素に対して、前記画素の輝度に対応する補正係数を決定する補正係数決定手段と、
前記平均値検出手段によって検出された平均輝度、および前記補正係数決定手段により前記画素に対して決定された前記補正係数に基づき、前記画素に対する補正値を算出する補正値算出手段と、
前記補正値算出手段によって算出された前記補正値を、対応する前記画素の輝度に加算する加算手段とを含み、
前記補正値算出手段は、前記画素の輝度が最大値である場合、前記補正値として最小値である0を算出する
ことを特徴とする画像処理装置。 - 前記補正係数決定手段は、前記画素の輝度が最大値である場合、前記補正係数を最大値である0に決定し、前記画素の輝度が最小値である場合、前記補正係数を負の数である最小値に決定する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 前記補正値算出手段は、前記平均値検出手段によって検出された前記平均輝度、および前記補正係数決定手段により前記画素に対して決定された前記補正係数に比例して、前記画素に対する補正値を算出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 前記補正係数決定手段は、ルックアップテーブルまたは関数を用いて、前記各画素の輝度に対応する前記補正係数を決定する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 画像を構成する画素の輝度の平均値を検出する平均値検出ステップと、
前記画素に対して、前記画素の輝度に対応する補正係数を決定する補正係数決定ステップと、
前記平均値検出ステップの処理で検出された平均輝度、および前記補正係数決定ステップの処理で前記画素に対して決定された前記補正係数に基づき、前記画素に対する補正値を算出する補正値算出ステップと、
前記補正値算出ステップによって算出された前記補正値を、対応する前記画素の輝度に加算する加算ステップとを含み、
前記補正値算出ステップは、前記画素の輝度が最大値である場合、前記補正値として最小値である0を算出する
ことを特徴とする画像処理方法。 - 画像を構成する画素の輝度の平均値を検出する平均値検出ステップと、
前記画素に対して、前記画素の輝度に対応する補正係数を決定する補正係数決定ステップと、
前記平均値検出ステップの処理で検出された平均輝度、および前記補正係数決定ステップの処理で前記画素に対して決定された前記補正係数に基づき、前記画素に対する補正値を算出する補正値算出ステップと、
前記補正値算出ステップによって算出された前記補正値を、対応する前記画素の輝度に加算する加算ステップとを含む処理をコンピュータに実行させ、
前記補正値算出ステップは、前記画素の輝度が最大値である場合、前記補正値として最小値である0を算出する
ことを特徴とするプログラム。
