Abstract
Description
본 발명에 의하면, 디스플레이의 화이트 레벨을 줄이지 않고 이미지의 콘트라스트를 향상시킬 수 있다.
Claims (6)
- 픽셀의 화이트 레벨과 블랙 레벨의 다이나믹 범위가 고정되어 있는 디스플레이에 표시시킨 화상을 처리하는 이미지 처리 장치로서,이미지를 구성하는 픽셀의 휘도의 평균값을 검출하는 평균값 검출 수단과,상기 이미지를 구성하는 각 픽셀에 대하여, 룩업 테이블(look-up table) 또는 함수를 이용하여, 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 대응하는 보정 계수를 결정하는 보정 계수 결정 수단과,각 픽셀에 대하여, 검출된 평균 휘도 및 결정된 상기 보정 계수에 기초하여, 보정값을 산출하는 보정값 산출 수단과,각 픽셀의 휘도의 보정 결과로서, 산출된 상기 보정값을 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 가산하는 가산 수단을 포함하고,상기 보정값 산출 수단은 상기 픽셀의 휘도가 최대값인 경우, 상기 보정값으로서 최대값인 0을 산출하는, 이미지 처리 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보정 계수 결정 수단은,상기 픽셀의 휘도가 최대값인 경우에는 상기 보정 계수를 최대값인 0으로 결정하고, 상기 픽셀의 휘도가 최소값인 경우에는 상기 보정 계수를 음수인 최소값으로 결정하는, 이미지 처리 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보정값 산출 수단은,상기 평균 휘도 및 상기 보정 계수에 비례하여 상기 보정값을 산출하는, 이미지 처리 장치.

- 픽셀의 화이트 레벨과 블랙 레벨의 다이나믹 범위가 고정되어 있는 디스플레이에 표시시킨 화상을 처리하는 이미지 처리 장치의 이미지 처리 방법으로서,이미지를 구성하는 픽셀의 휘도의 평균값을 검출하는 평균값 검출 단계와,상기 이미지를 구성하는 각 픽셀에 대하여, 룩업 테이블(look-up table) 또는 함수를 이용하여, 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 대응하는 보정 계수를 결정하는 보정 계수 결정 단계와,각 픽셀에 대하여, 검출된 평균 휘도 및 결정된 상기 보정 계수에 기초하여, 보정값을 산출하는 보정값 산출 단계와,각 픽셀의 휘도의 보정 결과로서, 산출된 상기 보정값을 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 가산하는 가산 단계를 포함하고,상기 보정값 산출 단계는 상기 픽셀의 휘도가 최대값인 경우, 상기 보정값으로서 최대값인 0을 산출하는, 이미지 처리 방법.
- 픽셀의 화이트 레벨과 블랙 레벨의 다이나믹 범위가 고정되어 있는 디스플레이에 표시시킨 화상을 처리하는 이미지 처리 장치의 제어용 프로그램을 기록한 기록 매체로서,이미지를 구성하는 픽셀의 휘도의 평균값을 검출하는 평균값 검출 단계와,상기 이미지를 구성하는 각 픽셀에 대하여, 룩업 테이블(look-up table) 또는 함수를 이용하여, 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 대응하는 보정 계수를 결정하는 보정 계수 결정 단계와,각 픽셀에 대하여, 검출된 평균 휘도 및 결정된 상기 보정 계수에 기초하여, 보정값을 산출하는 보정값 산출 단계와,각 픽셀의 휘도의 보정 결과로서, 산출된 상기 보정값을 상기 픽셀의 휘도에 가산하는 가산 단계를 포함하고,상기 보정값 산출 단계는 상기 픽셀의 휘도가 최대값인 경우, 상기 보정값으로서 최대값인 0을 산출하는 처리를 이미지 처리 장치의 컴퓨터에 실행시키는 프로그램을 기록한 기록 매체.
