Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、各バンク108a,108bに搭載される、カムシャフト10のカム15によって駆動される吸気バルブ5を開閉するロッカアーム機構19には、カム15により駆動される位置をカムシャフト10の周方向に変位させながら吸気バルブ5の位相を変更する構成を用いる。また一方のバンク108bのカムシャフト10の回転方向を他方のバンク108aのカムシャフト10の回転方向に対して反転させる反転機構90を設ける構成を用いて、各バンク108a,108b毎、単一な同じ構造の可変動弁装置20を共用し、さらに各バンク108a,108b毎、開弁時期よりも閉弁時期を大きく変化させた位相の可変ができるようにした。

Description
以下、本発明を図1〜図12に示す第1の実施形態にもとづいて説明する。
図13および図4は、本発明の第2の実施形態を示す。本実施形態は、左右バンク108a,108bに、吸・排気側がそれぞれ独立したDOHC式の動弁系9を搭載したV型エンジンに本発明を適用した例を示す。
Claims (3)
- 一対の各バンクに、カムシャフトと該カムシャフトに形成されたカムにより駆動されて吸気又は排気バルブを開閉するロッカアーム機構とが設けられるV型エンジンの可変動弁装置において、
前記ロッカアーム機構は、前記カムにより駆動される位置を前記カムシャフトの周方向に変位させながら前記吸気又は排気バルブの位相を変更するように構成され、
さらに、一方のバンクのカムシャフトの回転方向を他方のバンクのカムシャフトの回転方向に対して反転させる反転機構を設けた
ことを特徴とするV型エンジンの可変動弁装置。 - 前記各バンクは、一方のバンクを他方のバンクからオフセットさせて各バンクの気筒がずれるように配置され、
前記反転機構は、前記バンクのオフセット生ずるバンク端のオフセットスペース内に設けられる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のV型エンジンの可変動弁装置。 - 前記ロッカアーム機構は、
前記カムシャフトと並行に配置されて前記各バンクに設けられたロッカシャフトと、
前記ロッカシャフトに揺動自在に支持され前記吸気又は排気バルブを駆動可能な第1アームと、
前記カムと当接して該カムにより駆動され前記ロッカシャフト側を支点として揺動する第2アームと、
前記ロッカシャフトの近傍に配置された支持軸に揺動自在に設けられ、前記第2アームの変位を受け、前記第2アームの支点移動がもたらす該第2アームの姿勢変化にしたがい、前記カムの位相を可変させて前記第1アームを駆動する第3アームと、
前記第2アームの前記ロッカシャフト側の前記支点を変位させて、前記カムにより駆動される地点を前記カムシャフトの周方向に変位させる可変機構と
を有することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のV型エンジンの可変動弁装置。
