Abstract
Description
で示される官能基を化合物の両末端に含有するエステル化合物と、イソシアン酸エステル化合物とを含有するサイズ剤が付着されてなる炭素繊維ストランド。
で示される官能基を化合物の両末端に含有するエステル化合物と、イソシアン酸エステル化合物とを含有するサイズ剤を溶解した溶液又は前記サイズ剤を分散させた水系エマルション中に炭素繊維を浸漬した後、80〜200℃で乾燥することを特徴とする〔1〕に記載の炭素繊維ストランドの製造方法。
で示されるアルキレンオキシド変性ビスフェノール系(メタ)アクリル型ビニルエステル化合物。
で示されるビスフェノール系(メタ)アクリル型ビニルエステル化合物。
ビニルエステル樹脂(昭和高分子株式会社製リポキシR−806)100質量部、メチルエチルケトンパーオキサイド(日本油脂株式会社製パーメック−N)1質量部、6質量%ナフテン酸コバルト溶液(和光純薬工業株式会社製)0.5質量部に調製されたマトリックス用樹脂を、樹脂浴(長さ:400mm、幅120mm、高さ:100mm)に適量投入した。
上記コンポジットの内、ILSS測定に用いない部分をJIS K 7074に準拠して破壊し、破断面を走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)で観察した。その結果を、
A:繊維表面の大半に樹脂が付着し、繊維断面と樹脂断面の段差が小さい(繊維と樹脂が良く馴染み、繊維破断面と樹脂破断面とがほぼ同一面内にあり、破断面がスパッと切れている。)
B:繊維表面の大半に樹脂が付着するが、繊維断面と樹脂断面の段差が大きい(繊維と樹脂が良く馴染んでいるが、破断箇所で繊維の素抜けが見られ、繊維破断面と樹脂破断面との間に段差がある。)
C:繊維表面への樹脂の付着が殆ど見られず、繊維断面と樹脂断面の段差が非常に大きい(繊維と樹脂が馴染まず、繊維と樹脂の間に空間が存在し、破断箇所で繊維の素抜けが見られる。)
のようにA、B、Cの三段階で表現した。
未サイジングの炭素繊維ストランド(東邦テナックス株式会社製ベスファイト、12000フィラメント、引張り強さ3900MPa、引張り弾性率235GPa)をサイジング浴に連続的に浸漬させた。
Claims (5)
- 一般式(1)で示される官能基がアクリロイル基、メタクリロイル基、又はα−(ヒドロキシメチル)アクリロイル基である請求項1に記載の炭素繊維ストランド。
- イソシアン酸エステル化合物が、アルコール類、β−ジケトン類、オキシム類、及びラクタム類から選ばれる化合物が付加することにより保護基を導入したブロック型イソシアン酸エステルである請求項1又は2に記載の炭素繊維ストランド。
- イソシアン酸エステル化合物がブロック型イソシアン酸エステルであって、乾燥後に保護基の脱離温度より低温で加熱処理する請求項4に記載の炭素繊維ストランドの製造方法。
