Abstract
レーザの出力を基準範囲内に維持すること。
【解決手段】
電流出力値が2つの電流設定値の間になるように調節された駆動信号をレーザダイオード(例えばVCSEL)に適用する。電流設定値は、レーザダイオード22の出力が目の安全基準における平均電力条件および最大電力条件を満たすように設定される。駆動信号は、2つの設定値の間を或るデューティサイクルで交互に切り替える。デューティサイクルは、所与の上側電流設定値にしたときに、平均電力条件および最大電力条件が満たされるような値が選択される。駆動回路26は、上下の電流設定値を管理するためのアナログ変調器またはデジタル/アナログコンバータを含む。駆動回路26をICとして実施する場合、DAC26はICの中に組み込んでもよい。DAC26の感度は、所望の上下の電流設定値を管理できるような感度が選択される。

Claims (8)
- 出力電流値が2つの電流設定値の間になるように調節された駆動回路(26)と、
前記出力電流を受け取って、目の安全基準を満たす出力を生成するレーザ(22)と、
からなるシステム(10)。 - 前記レーザ(22)が半導体ベースのレーザである、請求項1に記載のシステム(10)。
- 前記半導体ベースのレーザは、面発光型半導体レーザ、端面発光型レーザダイオード、超共振空洞型発光ダイオード(LED)、および高効率LEDを含むグループの中から選択される、請求項2に記載のシステム(10)。
- 前記駆動回路(26)はデジタル/アナログコンバータをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のシステム(10)。
- 前記駆動回路(26)は、2つ電流設定値を或るデューティサイクルで交互に切り替えて駆動信号を生成し、該駆動信号の電力が、前記目の安全基準における平均電力条件未満になるようにする、請求項1に記載のシステム(10)。
- 第1の2つの電流設定値によって、少なくとも1つの最小駆動信号が生成され、
第2の2つの電流設定値によって、目の安全基準を満たす駆動信号が生成される、請求項1に記載のシステム(10)。 - 前記2つの電流設定値は近接した電流設定値である、請求項6に記載のシステム(10)。
- 第1の2つの電流設定値によって、少なくとも1つの最小駆動信号が生成され、
第2の2つの電流設定値によって、目の安全基準における最大電力条件未満の駆動信号が生成される、請求項1に記載のシステム(10)。
