Abstract
【解決手段】アノード側金属セパレータ18の面18a、18bには、第2シール部材56が一体化される。この第2シール部材56は、アノード側金属セパレータ18の面18aに設けられる外側シール58aを備え、この外側シール58aから内方に所定の距離だけ離間して内側シール58bが設けられる。内側シール58bと外側シール58aとには、複数の閉塞シール60が一体的に形成される。

Claims (5)
- 電解質膜の両側に第1の電極と該第1の電極よりも大きな表面積を有する第2の電極とを配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を備え、前記電解質膜・電極構造体を第1及び第2のセパレータ間に配設する燃料電池であって、
少なくとも前記第1のセパレータには、前記第1の電極に対向する一方の面にシール部材が設けられるとともに、
前記シール部材は、前記電解質膜と前記第1のセパレータとの間に配置される内側シールと、
前記第1及び第2のセパレータ間に配置される外側シールと、
前記内側シールと前記外側シールとの間隙に設けられ、該間隙に沿って反応ガスが流通することを阻止する複数の閉塞シールと、
を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記閉塞シールは、前記内側シール及び前記外側シールと一体的に形成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記閉塞シールは、前記内側シールと前記外側シールとの間隙に充填される複数の液状シールであることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記閉塞シールは、前記内側シールと前記外側シールとの間隙に配設される複数の固形シールであることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、前記第1及び第2のセパレータは、前記第1及び第2の電極にそれぞれ反応ガスを供給するための反応ガス流路を面方向に沿って設けるとともに、
前記反応ガス流路は、折り返し部を有する蛇行流路を構成することを特徴とする燃料電池。
